I like the fact that Pandora's genuinely smiling in her selfie with Abby, feels like that's one side of her we don't get to see very often.

Yes, Pandy really likes Abby. Probably because Abby is so good at causing mischief. Plus she likely respects her for getting one over on her with the suicide note.

Pandora has been here for MONTHS. Ilsa's JUST finding out she's truant? Where the hell does she think she's been?!

Where the hell, indeed. Hiding somewhere in Hell? Off on one of her sneak trips to Heaven? Who knows.
For those curious: my avatar is an artistic rendering of a spaceship I drew for a primitive (by today's standards) multiplayer online game called XPilot. (More about both on my website.)

Right but this is really making me question what Devils like Chloe are supposed to be doing at this stage of their life. Chloe is here because she has a contract but by All rights she should have been able to finish that contract in like a day. But the way that Ilsa treats her and all the other students implies that they are also still in school, so is Chloe just on like a super long extended leave until this contract is over? Because otherwise what are the other students doing at this time. Do they just have normal classes that they need to be at, and Pandora is skipping those? Or are they supposed to just kind of be off in the human world causing as much chaos as they reasonably can, in which case why is Pandora considered truant? Hopefully we'll get an answer from Ilsa in the next few pages.

I'm thinking the kind of process you go through to get your Masters/PHD. Basically you need to defend your thesis, perhaps in the context of this world, you need to take a human soul to succeed, and higher level graduates have to actually cause mass chaos like global warming and wars.
IMO, the simplest explanation is probably the easiest though, time has no meaning, so they simply can come back whenever they succeed and pick up where they left off in whatever passes for education. In that case this could be nothing more than a field trip.

Considering the amount of extra credit Cloe's earned, how much will Pandora get for her antics?
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

What Kisai said. It doesn't matter how long Chloe has been gone if she can be back five minutes after she left.

I'm with Dave on that.
All readers who love the comic are certainly with Dave and me, too. Abby's character has been getting more and more important lately -- to such a point that the story is quickly turning into "The Adventures of Abby!" Honestly, I don't believe it's possible to love the comic as it is right now and not love Abby.
We, the old ghosts of Pizen Bluff, who still roam about this dead forum screaming imprecations at the characters and whatnot.

Pretty sure the majority of the forum readers would disagree with you on that front.
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

Oh by the way: Anyone still want to theorize that Ilsa is Pandora’s mother?
I offer now as the time to bring that up.

I think Vitocap is more making a point that most people who comment on these forums don't love the comic, but the people who do love it at this stage likely also like Abby. *shrugs*
To be fair, the forums are probably not where you'd find most of the comic's biggest fans. People who love something, don't like the fun being spoiled by reading ceaseless gripes or having opinion battles. Example: If I love bacon, I'm not going to read a whole book about how bacon is horrible and how I should feel bad for liking bacon.
Even back when I was bickering in the forum, I didn't really love the comic. I mostly just hate exageratedly intense feelings people have over certain things. Also, continually reading something one hates doesn't make sense to me. Ain't nobody got time for that.

It is possible to like or love something and realise that it isn't perfect. And lots of fans can also be highly critical of something without that meaning
they aren't fans.
As an example, were the people who disliked the second trilogy of 3 Star Wars films not "proper" Star Wars fans because they thought the first three films were a lot better or that the second second set were downright awful?
Does hating Jar Jar Binks mean you're less of a fan than somebody who loves him?
And it's also possible to dislike parts of something while still enjoying other parts of it. I've been reading the comic since the start and really liked the first half of that. Not just the main characters but a lot of side cast too. Then it turned into a sex farce rather than a rom-com and most of the side characters went on what felt like a permanent vacation.
I can't see it changing back any time soon but I'll hang on to see how the story ends anyway because of the characters I do still enjoy. And whenever we see things like the Naomi and Prudence cameos it reminds me of how good it used to be so it's worth reading for those moments.

I said "at this stage" and "love" intentionally. You may have loved what it was, but that doesn't mean that you love what it is. Vitocap was talking about people who love the series as it is now having to like Abby because we see so much of her now.
The forum has calmed down a lot; I was mostly annoyed and confused back when people came back week after week, month after month seemingly only to throw huge tantrums in the forums and drown out anyone who was still enjoying it. Eh, the past is the past though. People still on the forums now seem to like some aspects of the comic so meh *shrugs*
