Also the story for the female demon hunter.
Demons killed her town and her animal companions. Given the anger and frustration that fluttershy keeps bottled up which comes up every now and then (like her reaction behind the crystal ponies during sombra's time), having that all come out and define her while delving more into dark powers makes sense for her to go DH

I've always seen AJ and Rarity as more of a couple too. They work well off of each other and that's what struck me the most in the last episode.Tenjen wrote:this artist is REALLY good.

I see it as AJ having been exposed and been part of the sort of life Rarity exudes. She chose her current life because it is part of who she is and her identity, she'll never give it up but there is still that appeal and Rarity is representative of everything in it without being a canterlot level snob.

not so much didnt like the culture as she felt terribly homesick while living there. Only when she saw the rainboom and her cutie mark triggered did she realize where she was truly meant to be.

So, the latest episode was nowhere near as cringe-worthy as I was expecting it to be, mostly because pretty much nobody fell for Mac's disguise at all.
Still, it was largely a collection of the standard 'dude in drag' cliches happening, so...meh over all, even with a few amusing moments.
It's been too long since a good, funny Pinkie episode.

I'm surprised Big Mac was able to maintain that character the whole time. I'm a naturally quiet person myself, and there's no way I could fake being talkative for any length of time.

Yeah, I wasn't overly fond of yesterday's episode. I think, if Big Mac had asked, he wouldn't have had to go through all that, and for someone who is in my situation, the episode came off as very cringeworthy.
I don't even want to know about others' comments, but then again, I am doing my best to avoid most fandoms these days.
