If Abby suddenly is able to use her BRAND NEW succubus powers in a way that overpowers these two I'm calling major BS. If Chloe is to stay alive it needs to be someone else. Abby miraculously being able to fight two people who overpowered a trained succubus is just nonsense. It needs to be Pandora, or Alchemy, or even Teddi showing up and maybe trying to explain things.

And this will be when Naomi or Prudence shows up
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Titanium steel wool - with no magical enchantments - is strong enough to bind a demon capable of summoning Hellfire...really? Really?!

And their plan was to threaten a child they believed to be a demon causing mischief in the mortal realm...and then leave town? The sheer stupidity behind that plan leaves me dumbfounded.

As for Abby saving the day - I'm betting she'll use her puppy dog eyes on them. For some stupid reason, no one can withstand that look when she lays it on them. And, now that she's a succubus, it'll be even more powerful.

I’m *guessing* the titanium steel wool is in fact magic.

It’d have to be, as otherwise you’d never make such malleable yarn out of it.

Considering titanium has a melting point of 1668 °C/3034 °F, summoning enough Hellfire to break free may A) Burn Chloe really badly, B) Take too long before stabby things happen, or C) Might not even work, depending on how hot Hellfire is. Keep in mind a monster-hunter academy wouldn't bother to keep something as expensive as titanium around in their arsenal if it didn't work.

Note she does say she won't break free "easily." So it may be that she could burn/break her way out but not in time to avoid being killed.

We've seen Lucretia lounging in a pool of molten lava without being the least bit singed from the heat that would emanate from it. So, Chloe burning herself with Hellfire isn't likely to happen. And -for the saje of argument - though the Hellfire may not do any immediate damage to the binds, it would do quite the number on the dimwitted demon hunter trying to cut her head off with a kunai.

Being held for the dagger cut may complicate things, but... can't Chloe change her size? What if she shrinks to child size? Would the yarn shrink, too, or would she then be able to get out?

Unfortunately, I think this is being set up for Abby to save the day.

I was thinking that as a possibility, then thought of an arguably worse one: cut to sight gag of something getting chopped or, worse, the smut again with some tired "oh, so and so's day couldn't be as tiring as ours, LOL," shtick.

Maybe titanium is to succubi like garlic is to vampires? Some better world-building would've helped... Oh, well.

I mean this is just me thinking but didnt we cut to abby and chloe shenanigans from a scene of teddy saying its time HE became the ultimate man by getting angel dna injected into him? Sure abby saving chloe seems like the set up here but... wouldn't teddy swooping in as a gorgeous hunka hunka burning lover boy be the punchline to that? Also a nice bookend from her saving him at the museum at the beginning of the story.
