Well, Tatiana, that's just rude, that is. I for one can say that holidays can be especially beneficial, far moreso than mindlessly working until you collapse of exhaustion.

Well, it's easy for her to say, when her job looks to be a vacation.

Bite me, Tatiana. =_=
The only reason you never take a vacation is that you can't bear the idea of anyone else serving Domenico hand and foot.

I didn't think that we'd seen this kind of insecurity in Lavali before now. I mean, sure, we know she's a bit of a quiet wallflower (until she gets angry), and I'm sure that she's generally obliging, but she didn't previously seem the type to ignore perfectly contractually legitimate leave days. Especially when she's just been told that it's all cool. And soddit, she works in France, not Japan. Is she the only person in the company office during August?
Perhaps this is a hint that her job isn't very secure? Or is it just a character change for the sake of the gag?

Arent people in France required to take their vacation days? Or am I thinkingnof another country's system?
And the fact she's with people the cokpany does business with may jnfluence the decision to let her have time off.

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

She was willing to swim back to France so this is totally within character.Spidrift wrote:I didn't think that we'd seen this kind of insecurity in Lavali before now. Precisely. The real challenge is how long she could be away from her beloved Domenico. I'm hoping we get to see her supposed bleak hometown one of these days and find out she grew up in the lap of luxury and is just a poser.Error of Logic wrote:Bite me, Tatiana. =_=

That was because she was stranded hundreds of miles from home with no way of contacting friends, family, or colleagues - and then, when she accepted the situation, she chilled out a bit and started sunbathing. Sure, she was still annoyed, but not to the point of gibbering neurosis like here, when she's been in touch with her family and got her employers saying that things are cool.brasca wrote:She was willing to swim back to France so this is totally within character.

As seen in this dialogue here, she figures if she swims for 2 wholes days, she can still make it back by Monday to work. The "Chilling" part is when she gave up on trying to get back due to the situation giving her no other choice.
In face, in the strip I linked, her first dialogue is "DM Games doesn't have branches on desert islands" meaning she's thinking of work the whole time. There was never a change of character, Lavali is somewhat a workaholic and puts her career before most things.

This still strikes me as a bit of a sudden jump back to total panic after she'd accepted her situation, chilled out, and determined that she wasn't in trouble with her boss. But whatever.
