I saw this coming a mile away.

I get what Marie is saying Panel Two, but she's still forgetting the crucial fact that not only did she not become those things, instead being cruel and abusive, but that she didn't earn her position.

But I'm glad that Sandra's coming in to be the real hero and offering her a chance to get away from Eva's machinations. And I'll be the first to admit that Zoe's not the best person to look up to, especially when she's roused to anger, but I'm at least glad that she gave Marie that slap out of the anger she felt towards what Marie said. I just wish kinder words would come afterwards.

"I can't start over as a booth babe"... while the person who did that very thing stands right next to her. Ouch. Surprised Sandra didn't tell Marie what the five fingers say to the face, but she's probably nicer than me. ;)

Have to remember she has a bad scope of what it means to become a model. She immediately went to the top, had a taste of the good stuff, and now has this warped perception on how people become models, thanks to Eva. And Sandra had the benefit of having to start over a continent away, and not being totally ingrained in the social aspects of modelling, except for the drinking and clubbing part.

So if Marie had to start over in Paris, all those models she was mean to would jump at the chance to get back at her once they learned she was starting over the proper way, as a booth babe.

"How DARE you say I never cared?!" Lady, you've got a bad way of showing it.

Makes me think Marie may have been better off with Domenico as her manager. The worst that could happen is he either ends up banging her, or that he might (temporarily) forget that he hired her.

Exactly. It was tought starting at the bottom, but at least Sandra didn't have any modeling peers jeering at her change in fortune unless of course Senna popped in for a visit, but I think she could handle one. Marie could find herself in Montreal and not cross paths with anyone she stepped on along the way.

And now I'm wondering if maybe she will pop up in Pixie Trix Comix in some capacity.

I forgot Sandra wasn't planning on staying in Paris.

Marie went from Lycée to superstar. Not only Sandra went back to Montreal, she was a waitress before all that. She knew how to have a life and handle herself ( despite the drinking.) Heck, she was even Senna's assistant, so she knew about humiliation and frustration.

I wonder what happened to Pierre.

I'm not sure that she ever said that she wasn't. But she's got a career in Montreal now -- full-scale M-A-W*, even. So it would actually be logical for her to head back in due course.

And yes, some of us even hoped for this. Though I'm quite surprised that it actually happened. Zoé gets written as harshly competent so often that I wasn't sure that Dave01 actually realised that she came across as a bit of a psychotic screw-up. And it gives Sandra a bit of actual character growth.

I'm not sure what Marie's parents are supposed to think or say about all this, though.

The women of the world's loss is patisserie's gain.

As far as I get it male characters are either assholes or victims in the pixie trix verse, and sometimes just expendable, alex served his purpose.

I think he was just easier than some to write out with minimal complications in this rushed ending. Though he may yet reappear for all we know.

And if they haven't reconciled it probably makes Marie's choice to leave easier.

I dont see them wrapping everything up before the end. Alex maybe one of the plots left open
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.
