It's starting to look more and more like Plan 37-B really is the 'Fire and get rid of the prima donna model' solution.

I don't understand how this is going to establish Ingrid as "not a pushover/doormat" against the manipulative "manager".

I also note that Sandra is undercutting her own “New found confidence, willing to face down Zoé” image.

Zoe already has "a piece " of Ingrid - some of her hair. ;)

The IKEA instruction sheet for "Model" is pretty interesting... :D

1) Demand to become model.
2) Upon rejection by scowling mentor, cut locks of hair.
3) Slap hair on bewbs of scowling mentor.
4) Determined stare at scowling mentor with single tear.
5) Make solemn vow of obedience.

No wonder Sandra had so much trouble. No hair snipping or bewb slapping.

I don't see why Sandra's so impressed when she's seen Domenico stare Zoé down, and shout her down while he was at it. Or has she forgotten about that?

Mind you, Sandra is speaking in the past tense.

i.e, "I would never have done that a year ago!"

I wanted to believe it was all just an extreme sink or swim situation. But if Zoe is still "my way, no highway option," I have no choice but to accept that it was just an extremely passive-aggressive way of sacking Sandra.

When has it ever been Zoe’s way to be passive aggressive?

I seriously don’t understand why a boss demanding obedience is such a difficult concept.

I think it's less that she demanded obedience (although doing something other than stalking around angrily and refusing to pay any attention to anything would have been helpful) and more that she outright committed a felony in order to fire Sandra in an extremely elaborate way.

Call me crazy? But I figure that qualifies as at least a little weird.

Except that half of the complaints I read seem to be more about who-does-Zoe-think-she-is than that-seems-to-be-a-bit-much-just-to-fire-somebody. And the jury is still out on whether that was the plan. If Zoe fired her on the spot Eva would've hired her and considering how bad of an influence she's been on Marie the downward spiral would be inevitable. This really may have been for Sandra's benefit since she actually got her act together while she was back in Montreal and became a professional. Moreover, Zoe's agency paid the rent for Sandra's apartment while she was away so it's no like she awoke on a bus stop bench.

This latest comic still does Zoe's characterization no favors. She' comes across as quite awful. uselessly and gratuitously so.

Sure are spending a lot of time (in terms of montage footage) on rushing an arc for a superfluous gag character that was more of a prop and a pet to another minor character. I guess it is to update Sandra on what she missed, and Swedish girl's new hair is quite nice, so it isn't pointless.

Woo, she maintained eye contact with the inept tyrant. I'm very impressed.
