We don't know anything about Tatiana's past. She'll have been living in luxury for longer than Sandra, but her name suggests Russian or Ukrainian origins, and if her family weren't nomenklatura, she may have hacked her way up from something much less fun than Sandra has ever had to deal with. It'd fit that attitude of cold efficiency, after all.

No karma in these comics, eh Spidrift? I say this was a definite exception to that rule, and that exception has bitten Tatiana squarely on her tight ass. Too bad Sandra's going to suffer as well, Tatiana's going to be a hell of a roommate.

I can even see a sound business reason for putting those two together - Tatiana is to keep an eye on Domenico's new "project" for both him and Zoe.

You know, for a strip that's set in the fashion industry, supermodels and all... I'm really not sure if the outfits are meant to be in jest or if this is set in the early 2000s and making light of some of the tackier fashions back then or something.

There's much more tendency to karma-ish stuff in this comic than in the other two, in fact. I mark it down to the difference in the writers. Though even this looks less like karma and more like shit happens, to bad people as well as good people. And Tatiana has a self-destructive side to her.

Sandra can drink until Tatiana becomes tolerable, but I'm not sure she can do the same.
