Re: Ask Dave and Eisu Questions Here!
I've had 151 proof rum before. Not straight, but mixed 6 shots into a 32 ounce cup of coke ( and yet people to took a sip are still afraid of it....wimps). It's still not hard to get here, but I'm not as adventurous now as I was then. Also, I'm in Pennsylvania, so you all saw the availability of grain here. But it was legal until about 13 years ago, and I had tried it.
@ bambiklese: actually I think medical alcohol is isopropinol. Drinking alcohol is ethanol. Not the same thin no matter what proof.

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Funny how the Sandra thread here gets to the topic of booze quickly.

That used to be true, but it hasn't been for about ten years. You'll want to check the label, but wormwood has been legalized in most of the world, and many newer brands contain it.Spidrift wrote:The evil stuff, with lots of wormwood toxins, is no longer available. Modern absinthe is just extra-strong Pernod.
It's ironic, though, that absinthe is so upscale nowadays, since the original reason poets drank it was its price: wormwood was used to denature industrial alcohol (i.e., to keep people from drinking it), but they found adding anise, fennel, and - if the underlying alcohol was bad enough - sugar gave it a nice flavor. Kind of like rhubarb.
In my younger days, I used to steep green teabags in ~190-proof grain alcohol (legal in CT) and drink the result straight, frozen, from a dollar-store cocktail glass. It had a pleasant sweetness to it.

Since the crossover seems to be over, does this mean Gary is now a permanent addition to the SotR cast?

Not a question, but I must say I feel silly now, it only occurred to me recently that Eisu was Marry Me's artist. I have a puny memory of names, but now I get why the art of SoTR seemed familiar. Ah, well, at least it made me discover that Marry Me is still running. I had lost touch with it.

I'm wondering...will we ever get the same level of nudity in Sandra on the Rocks as Menage a 3?
Loving the hijinks, yet...it's like Sandra suddenly moved into a PG-13 comic. I miss seeing the sexy, more risque side of Sandra.

Sandra is a PG-13 comic. It is not the adult theme level that is MA3 (much the same for Sticky Dilly Buns too)
It's also why in the Image thumbnails, SOTR and SDB doesn't have the "Rated R NSFW" tag like what MA3 has.

Ah well...I was thinking that the "Menage a 3" series would be kinda like the R-Rated NSFW series of things while the "Eerie Cuties" series would be the more tame, PG-13 side.
It's still a good comic, and you're doing a good job. I just miss all the sexy fanservice.
How it's possible to coordinate 6 comics within 2 series is beyond me. And that's not even counting the Vampire Cheerleaders series which crosses over with Eerie Cuties.

Eisu - just out of curiosity, was the drawing of Sandra's goodbye kiss with Gary consciously based on the famous V-J Day Times Square photograph?

Not exactly, cos I just drew that panel straight off with any real reference, but I do know of that photo and have seen it hundreds of time so it might have subconciously inspired me as well.
