I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure what other word we're expected to use for what the strips do a lot of. We actually get quite a lot of nudity, but always with critical areas obscured by baguettes, steering wheels, lens flare, or whatever. It's become a good joke in its own right.

I'd call it normal comics. If you have to see them naked without anything covered up, there's porn sites all over for you. The fact that the comic covers anything up is no big deal, and I see no reason why it keeps getting asked about.

There's plenty of anime and manga that features nudity and toplessness - like 'Ranma ½' and 'Tenchi Muyo!', for example - but I doubt anyone would consider them porn. It's fanservice.

That said, I agree with the overall sentiment of what you're saying. I don't see why folks keep asking about it either. It isn't hard to imagine what a pair of nipples look like, and we can guess what Pierre must be seeing. Sometimes it's more titillating to have to picture it yourself, instead of being shown. In much the same way that imagining what could be lurking in the darkness, can be just as frightening (sometimes moreso) as finding out.

And really, this strip's using a large oblong loaf of bread⁽¹⁾ has enough symbolism to be funny in its own right.

Because the comic generates an above-average number of occasions when it's needed. It really has become a recurring joke now.

"Used" and "needed" are two different things, though they occasionally overlap. Tropes are tools, after all, and the one they're invoking is called 'scenery censor'.

From what I can see, the reason T and Eisu get twitchy about it is because folks won't stop asking for uncensored print versions, when they've already said that's not gonna happen. Ask yourselves this: how would any of you feel, if someone kept pestering you with the same question, if you had already answered it?

The censorship occurs when someone decides that there will be something obstructing the reader's view of the 'naughty bits' (which are on view in-story), not when a drawing is changed to add such obstruction.

I'm fine with the way the comic is done, and the requests for uncensored views are getting tedious (how many times does it have to be explained the the comic is PG-13), but the creators are deluding themselves if they think they are not censoring the comic.

No. Censorship is when they put a black block or some such over something. Using part of the scene (bread, bath steam, towel, hair) is not censoring.

I don't need to see any actual nudity. I just want to get a laugh from the sexual and/or awkward situations. This strip along with strip #147 are fine the way they are.

I definitely agree with whomever posted that Sandra would get bonus points from the model group for being brazenly naked after all. Both of her mentors will probably assume she did it on purpose, and won't hear a word otherwise.
