Being a gym regular can be enough of a pain when you wanted to sign up in the first place. For Alex, though, I expect it will be torture - and Marie had better come up with better reasons for him to go regularly than "looking good for me" or she can look forward to having to drag him kicking and screaming to the gym just about every time they go.Spidrift wrote: Anyway, the good news for Alex is that he is now a sex object for a cute girl. The bad news is that girls expect their sex objects to look the part.
Not sure that jogging is going to give him abs, though. Which in fact Marie seems to realise, as she's talking about this as a "first step". Oh dear. Gym membership coming up.

Are they playing on a Dreamcast in Marie's fantasy? If so, excellent choice.

Of course, "Sandra would be impressed" should work -- but Marie hasn't recognised that problem yet. Chances of her stumbling across the magic formula by accident?themacnut wrote:For Alex, though, I expect it will be torture - and Marie had better come up with better reasons for him to go regularly than "looking good for me" or she can look forward to having to drag him kicking and screaming to the gym just about every time they go.

If Marie hasn't seen Alex's "shrine" to Sandra in his room yet, then she really isn't as close to him as we might think. Then again, even if she hasn't, Lavali certainly has, after all she just walked up on him drooling over a Carmen pillow.
So I'm thinking if Marie hasn't figured out Alex's obssession yet, she soon will.

Eugh. Worst Nintendo console this side of the Virtual Boy - Nintendo were going through a really fallow period for games, and stuff like Mario Sunshine and Zelda: Wind Waker were pale shadows of their N64 counterparts (the graphical changes of a generation notwithstanding).

SSBM, Tales of Symphonia, and Nintendo Puzzle Collection were some nice gems though, and Double Dash was actually really good in a party setting. Also, remember the Wii U is on this side of the Virtual Boy as well.

Serious. Words cannot express how disappointed I was in Mario Sunshine at the time. It was the game that made me quit playing games for something like three years.

I'll agree with that Mario Sunshine was a disappointment but I think Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 more than made up for it. Wind Waker was great until the fetch quest then got good again after getting through the fetch quest.
The GameCube had Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Resident Evil 4, and a few other games I really liked. But these days I play more games on my computer than I play on consoles.

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Okay, call me crazy, but why does Alex have to do any working out at all?
He's got a stomach my sister could iron her jeans on. For fuck's sake, if that doesn't get him any girls, then he's right... a six pack ain't gonna help because he's practically there already. A doughy nerd boy he is NAWT. He. Has. Defined. Pectorals.
WTF!?

Yes, and Marie has the arms of a track and field athlete...
Eisu's art style, I'm afraid. You have to imagine these characters having the physiques they ought to have given their lifestyles, not what the pictures seem to show.

Actually, i've never shown his pecs... the one in Marie's dream is just imagination Alex with defined pectorals (like, she's imagining all the strip Smash Bros. game they'll play if he's all ripped and how much she'll be enjoying that)... real Alex is kinda skinny. (look at the old strips, his chest was definitely not defined)bejammin2000 wrote:Okay, call me crazy, but why does Alex have to do any working out at all?
