One wonder why Richie takes Jacob back (assuming that this firing thing is a cyclical joke and not just a one-off). Jacob certainly acts the loudly annoying brat. Family?

One also wonders what Angel's facial expression in the last panel is meant to imply. She's previously noted that Richie is good-looking, but presumably, having re-established the relationship with Jerzy, she won't be looking to chase after other guys, and she might find it embarrassing to have her boss making doe eyes at her.

Maybe it's not meant to mean anything other than she's flattered by this sudden outburst.

Even if that's so, there's a small potential plot point in all this. Having your boss suddenly realise that they fancy you, to the point of getting confused and flustered by the situation, would be a little bit difficult for anyone (with comedy possibilities). My personal interpretation of Angel's expression in that last frame is that there's a bit of "What?" or "Oh bother!" involved; she seems to me to be biting her lip, and there's no smiling shape to her lips. But others may disagree.

And of course, we don't know how Richie will handle this situation in the longer term either. If Ruby is about to walk into the shop, she may find herself in the middle of another bit of soap opera that's beyond her personal experience.

Doubly so since Angel was essentially hired to *replace* Jacob in the first place and still has the job.

Indeed. If they're paying Jacob at all, and Angel is making a living wage there... Well, the shop would have to be doing quite well.

It could be a potential conflict. Even though Jerzy says he likes Angel for who she is he prefers men so she dresses masculine, however, it appears she likes being feminine and if she caught Richie's eye who likes her feminine side there may now be an alternative. There is nothing wrong with being gender fluid or creating the Angel persona for the sake of her music, but not if she is going that far just to make herself attractive to the man she loves. If so then that makes her as potentially crazy as Yuki, but until I know more I am willing to believe that the masculine Angel of Pretty Boyz with Electric Toyz was a look she created for her music and because Jerzy liked it so much she never changed it even off stage.

And Jacob is back.... and apparently gone again.

Angel's new name should be Eris...
