Voice-overs?

I've seen some things circulating around Tumblr for another comic that I read (Lackadaisy Cats), where people have taken bits of the comic and put them into a video, then lent their voices to the characters. I personally think that its really cool! I would love to give it a shot, to be honest, and I've fallen completely in love with Namesake. I'd want to do it. But I don't know if it would be okay to do so? And aside from that, I couldn't do ALL the voices, you know? So if it were allowed, I'd want to find someone to collaborate with. I've never done any voiceover work before, but I imagine that it could be a lot of fun.
