If they do stick around for awhile, I think Lillian's life will experience some more upheaval. I honestly expect that that endpoint Lillian will look back at her first meeting and say that meeting Roomie was the best thing that ever happened to her. Beginning Lillian, on the other hand will be thinking the complete opposite.
Early to rise and early to bed makes a man healthy and wealthy but socially dead.
