Well I guess that confims somethings.

True. It seems they're trying to repopulate the species, and moths can lay an impressive number of eggs at a time. Though I'm curious as to how many she's laid, between the ones Katie's helping her deliver and the ones already in the nursery. Katie's probably an aunt a few dozen times over.

Char seems to be taking this pretty well, all considered.

Katie's taking it eell too, considering I doubt this is what she had in mind when she wanted to see her sister again.

Steph says that as if Char wasn't hot in the first place. Sheesh.

Silly thought: what if it's one of Steph's eggs that travels back in time and kickstarts the entire adventure? After all, it's not as if there haven't been several ontological paradoxes already...

I think Steph has laid other (maybe many) eggs before, but she has laid only one today. There isn't room for more than one egg in her belly (unless the Mothmen have removed ALL of her internal organs to make space).

Well taking into account that Adam Arnold has said that Mothmen doesn't have time-travelling powers, and Steph does have time-travelling powers, it's likely that the larvae got its powers from Steph.

I loled so hard over Steph's reaction to laying those eggs, her comment to Char (though it was more like going from hot to HOT IMO), and Katie has apparently reach that point where she's going with the flow because thinking about the weirdness would break her brain.

Read between the lines. Katie just told Charlotte: "She keeps saying that." with the unspoken implication being: 'each time she lays one'.

Also, take another look at the previous two strips. the mothman behind Suki was carrying two larva, and in the one after that one, you see the mothman standing behind Stephanie is holding one while Katie was prepping for the one Steph just laid.

We know that eggs take some time to hatch. Those larva probably are from eggs that were laid some time before.

And Steph doesn't need to lay an egg every time she says "queenly duty"; she said it when she was in bed with the mothmen, and she could have said it any number of times during labor.

If that was the only time Katie referring to, she would've said Steph only said once before. And I doubt she's simply saying "Queenly duty" between breaths.

You're still going by real world logic, that if she had more than one, her stomach should've been bulging. But you're overlooking the fact it already should've been, 'cuz even if it'd only been one, it's still the size of a football. Yet, Steph showed no visible signs of pregnancy until she said she was having contractions.

If she could carry something that size without it showing, it's entirely possible and probable (by fictional standards) that she was carrying multiple eggs, and has been laying them back-to-back. She's part moth now. Depending on the species, moths can crank out anywhere from as "few" as 40, to as many as 1,000 eggs at a time. If she's been laying at a rate anywhere near it, it'd hardly be a wonder that she'd say it was her "duty" each time.

The scene transitioned ahead slightly. Katie saved Stephanie, we saw Charlotte's POV, then we returned to the battlefield to witness Stephanie giving birth to the egg that Katie is helping to deliver.

That kinda clears things up, except do you mean it's only been one so far, or is that one all she's gonna lay for now?
