That was my assumption, too. She just can't win in any universe when she finally stands up to her abusers.

Either way, it looks like the lady wasn't too popular.

She ate people. She palled around with Gorgons. 'Nuff said.

So how did flippin the table over kill the Empress? Was it just so heavy it crushed her?

I missed that the first time as well. A heavy plate has severed her throat, looks like. That black stuff isn't sauce, it's her blood.

Hmm... Caught and killed by the vengeful mob, or ruthlessly tying off ALL the loose ends.

I'm rather hoping for option B, personally.

And then there's C, running until you get a better idea or find a way out. ^^

These servant girls sure have a bad habit of helping and then not trying to escape themselves...

So one final thing to add.... I love that little smile on Suki's face in the first panel. No regrets.
