That's probably worse than Char losing Katie... Char will heal in time, but Suki goes back to live out her last few years with the stake already in. By the woman who gave her the Prometheus treatment, no less.

Because she will still die when they take Cressida down. The timeline's not going to change - like everyone keeps saying, "what will be, will be." They can't turn around and say "that didn't happen" when the fall of Lemuria, and by extension essentially all human history, is contingent on their trip.

I wouldn't say it's all doom and gloom if my theory turns out right...

Lemuria is done and gone - events from the past are set in stone, unless they wind up BLOOP-ing back to before they got there and changing the things that they did before, after they did the things they did before they got there after themselves.

Errr... I think that's right. Blasted temporal paradoxes...

Anyways, the same probably can't be said for the Lita-World timeline, because they're going back to before the events leading there ever happened. Unless this universe is fixed to a pre-determined fate, with no allowance for free will, there's still time to change things, especially if future Zoe and Lesley decide to give them advance warning.

We may be dealing with a "many worlds" setup as well - this timeline may well be inevitable, but changes might split off a parallel reality where things go differently. So "what will be, will be", but only in the one timeline.

Adam has said this is not an alternative timeline. That says to me this is the way the VC future will turn out. So, they're not going back to HS.

Not that they won't wind up someplace nice.

It may not be an alternate timeline, but what if history can be rewritten, "Return to the future" style? They go back in time, and Lita's World never happened.
