I sent that to a friend that lived in Japan quite a few times. She went to Waseda for a full year and then was a teacher's assistant as part of the JET program for a year- the year of the tsunami, actually. A few years before that, she got a degree in East Asian Studies. She said some of these are actually pretty accurate. Actually she said:
