Awesome! Treadmill is important but so is stretching!!!!!! My knee always borks on me after I run on the treadmill because I forget to stretch.

(MS will laugh at me for this, since it was him who taught me the importance of stretching not long ago)

Thanks for the advice, Asaryu, but you're preaching to the choir. :D I'm the guru of stretching. Because of the nature of my joint condition, I actually have stretched several times a day every day since I was in my mid-20's. I get teased at at my job because if there's a lull for a few minutes, I'll pull up my foot and stretch my quads or find a little room and do toe-touches. I'm probably one of the more limber 38 year old's you might meet. Still, I appreciate the concern. :) Thank you.

Heh, I do find it amusing that she's giving you that advice. Honestly, though, I should stretch more too. I remember back in the day when I could reach about 13 inches past my toes.

I want to be able to do at least 50 pushups straight. To help me accomplish this there is a smartphone application which has me doing 5 sets of pushups ramping up the number in each set every other day.

I don't suspect it will take you long to accomplish if you do a few sets every day. When I did weightlifting, I maxed at 115. Right-angle push-ups, one every three seconds. It took a while.

Hows it going with the push-ups, Otaku?

Went to the gym last night. I don't think I stretched my back and shoulders properly. They are SORE.

Fun fact: you can over stretch them. I did that last night. Couldn't get comfortable, so I stretched like crazy to see if it would make anything better. It didn't :( Woke up sore from trying.

I swam some laps for the first time in like, almost four years. I went with my stepsister and stepdad, and swam a kilometre. My shoulders could happily do more but holy crap my groin muscles are not happy campers.
