Pretty sure that's still not legal in Québec. Was it explicitly stated that he was 16? I lived in Mtl for 17 years, and while underage drinking is rampant, and waitstaff/barstaff tend to look the other way if you look close to 18, I'm positive that you can't serve alcohol to a minor in a public establishment.

But then, I've been wrong about shit before.

(sorry about sneaking into the Cave, I'll leave now...mention of Mtl always catches my eye, since it's the greatest city in Canada)
