It will grow back. I have not shown the same receding hairline my grandfather has that you clearly see on my uncle and brother. Plus I have a nicely shaped skull so I dont look bad with a shaved head. I was keeping my head shaved for over a month since the shaving, but my volunteer job at a historical park requires me to look a bit more like a Spaniard. My straw woven hat would stick to my scalp and I now have some fuzz for comfort while working on a 16th century ship.
I hope hurricane Earl doesnt come by and wreck it before we take it out sailing in a few weeks.

Stupid hurricane could wreck my chances to go sailing on a pirate ship for 3 days!!!

Fellow New Englander? Yea, I guess this weekend was devoted to doing up the other side of the roof since it's been so clear and sunny, but that's not happening. I'll probably be driving through whatever comes along, though, since I plan on heading to Massachusetts for the weekend. Visit family, hopefully get some chairs and tables for some friends' apartments. All free, too. It's amazing what you can find when you're painting houses that are up for sale. I have a near-new condition desk that someone was just going to toss. Thank you, dad. I've helped furnish two, maybe three apartments that way.

BY THE POWER OF THREAD NECRO, I COMMAND YOU TO RISE AND... LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
So i was in the supermarket today, and there was this really cute, tall girl shelving stuff. For some reason, she took out a still mostly-filled cardboard package of glass ketchup bottles... and they jiggled around and one of them fell out, on to the glass cover of the frozen merchandise refrigerator ... ... ...
and nothing broke!
BUT she totally had her hands full preventing the other bottles from falling out too, and therefore I
valiantly leaped by her side and caught the culprit before it rolled off the floor and possibly shattered there!
I'm such a hero today.

This is bad that I'm giving girl advice...but still...
DON! Grab the ketchup bottle with one hand, and grab the GIRL with the other.... then make a funny quip and disappear into the darkness.

Also, I did get a thank you. Probably a smile too but I wasn't looking at her...

It wasn't random, but for Veterans day I did go find a veteran and buy her lunch.

Mom and I picked up Christmas boxes from the church and bought around 10 toys each to fill said box (roughly the size of a shoebox). It's odds and ends cheap stuff from the dollar store, but some of it brought back fond memories. A kaleidoscope, a jump rope with Disney princesses on them, a little rubber ball that has most of the countries on it (what would fit anyway), some crayons, a book of activities, a toy necklace with different gems to put in the middle, a little egg that you put in water and hatch a dinosaur out of, I think there was a little picture of Tinkerbell to color... a small book of prayers, and... uuuhh... I'm blanking on the last one.
Also filled out two cards to send to a sponsor child in El Salvador. Need to figure out the postage situation on that on Monday, I guess.
Might try to get something for the Marine Toys for Tots, too.
We shall see.
