Re: 20-12-08 Guitar Hero
I've heard a schlong called many things in my 31 years on this Earth...but NEVER a "Guitar Hero." Methinks Giz made that up. The slang for penis...not the actual game.
Anti-Yuki till the grave claims me...
Kid Kool (1988) for the Nintendo Entertainment System is GROSSLY underrated. Sure the concept could've been presented a little better, but it doesn't deserve the hate it gets in some circles.

"Guitar Hero" was a last minute intervention on my part, I was trying to think of something Funnier than the original line which was "his thing".
Somehow guitar Hero seemed all to perfect. ;)

All's I know is that now whenever my fiancee or I want to play Guitar Hero... We're gonna have to clarify in which sense we meant.
...Thanks a lot, Dave.

Ewww, Zii is making the "molest-o" face in the last panel!
I am seriously loving this strip! I haven't enjoyed comics this much since "Bloom County" went the way of the dodo. Yeah, I'm dating myself with that comment.

And my other favorite phrase for it was...
I used to watch MTV in the 80's--you know, when it was GOOD, or at least not as bad--and I remember a veejay introducing a Lou Reed video of a song of his called "Red Joystick." The veejay said with a very straight face that Lou had been inspired to write the song out of his "fondness for video games."
I didn't know much about Lou Reed then, but I didn't buy THAT explanation.

Good on ya, Dave! Well played, the mark of true wit! I couldn't imagine coming up with a double-entendre like that!Dave Zero1 wrote:"Guitar Hero" was a last minute intervention on my part, I was trying to think of something Funnier than the original line which was "his thing".

I suppose that if Dii hears him practicing his riffs in teh bathroom, she can always scream "Perfect" through the door, or play background noises of clapping...like in the game

My first post here. Had to register for this one. Just when I read this topic a commercial for Guitar Hero was playing on tv. I like coincidences.
Anyway, I like the comic (like all of them) and will continue reading it.
