I hate to be like this but I thought I'd ask incase anyone else has been having a few problems with certain sellers of series licensed by Seven Seas.
I have purchased a number of books by Seven Seas and I'm very satisfied by their quality however, on more than one occasion (and not just with books by Seven Seas) I have found myself waiting for a number of weeks after the specified release date after I had pre-ordered a number of items.
Would this be a region problem due to the fact I live in the United Kingdom or would this be down to other factors?
Again, I would like to stress that this isn't a problem I've had only with Seven Seas but I thought I would ask incase anyone else has had problems as well.
If anyone knows, could they possibly let me know? Thanks.
Release dates and region questions.

Re: Release dates and region questions.
Release dates you see on Amazon.com correspond to the North American market (US/Canada), but our books are distributed in the UK as well. I can't say for sure what the delay might be that you are seeing, but it is worth pointing out that books tend to be printed a month prior to their release date. It then takes about 1.5~2 weeks to get to a store's distribution center and then another 2~3 weeks for those individual warehouses to ship their product to their individual stores.

Re: Release dates and region questions.
Thanks for the reply.
I was assuming the delay was due to the fact I'm in the UK but they way you put it makes it seem like it's happening pretty much everywhere.
Then again, Seven Seas is a North American company so it's understandable.

Re: Release dates and region questions.
Not to bitch but I'm still a little confused about the release of Gunslinger Girl volume 7. I ordered it a few weeks ago and although it says it's released, Amazon have yet to ship it.
I'm gonna wait a little longer and see what happens but Railgun never took this long to ship when it came out.
Starting to get a bit confused.

Re: Release dates and region questions.
The plan for Gunslinger Girl has changed. We're no longer going to be releasing singles of the later volumes (i.e. Vol. 7 as a single volume release was cancelled). Instead, we're doing 2-in-1 omnibus. So the next book is Gunslinger Girl Omnibus Collection 3 (Vol. 7-8):MidKidz wrote:Not to bitch but I'm still a little confused about the release of Gunslinger Girl volume 7. Re: Release dates and region questions.
Well that would explain why I didn't get it.
Thanks for letting me know.
Gonna cancel my order now since it won't go through... ever.
