I came close to beating EoSD on Hard, but I got pwnd by Patchouli.

Anyway, just saw the latest ep. of Umineko, I watch 'em later since I've already played the SN. Though I'm still on Alliance since I've been busy. & the games become longer with each arc. Almost done with it though.

Rudolf, Kyrie, and Hideyoshi were killed by the Siestas, and Beatrice was struck down to "Apprentice" by Battler. So, Sixth Twilight.

Scratch that, Ninth Twilight. Beato revived Shannon with George's help, but the lovers were struck down by the Siestas. Virgilia sacrificed herself to let Beato escape.

It's really interesting to see the shift from murder mystery, to game of logic, to beambattles and overt magic.

Trust me, Episode 14 will be far better than Kanon vs. The Stakes. It depends on how well they animate it, but in the novels it was far better.

Question, does the Virgilia/Beatrice the Predecessor/Beatrice the Predecessor the Predecessor/That Gray Haired Chick/Kumasawa open her eyes in the anime or not? Because she has Brock Eye Syndrome in the games.

IF DEEN doesn't screw it up that is. I have some hope left for them, this arc seems to be doing good so far, although I would've like the Gohda scene to last a little longer.

In fact, every time Battler does his flawless explanations and counterarguments, it's freaking amazing. Him being pushed back to the corner, and pulling out the Umms and Uhhs, not so much.

Somehow, these endings keep getting better and better! I thought, I really thought that Beato had reformed! And that Virgilia was just helping Beato out of respect for their old relationship, to make the game more fair... Oh, man, that was a twist...

I take back what I said about Lambda. She's clearly more yan than tsun.

Anyways, I was getting a little tired of Ange and Maria's back-bawwwing. For some reason, they try and make Maria a really sympathetic character, but I just... can't bring myself to actually care. Maybe it's the psycho tantrum of "cannot forgive!" when she turns all Eva-Beatrice and repeatedly tortures Rosa. Poor Rosa, gets the short end of the stick.

But hey, George and Jessica kicking ass! And Kanon kicking ass, and Shannon kicking ass! But... why the heck are the Siestas and Virgilia, previously instruments of instant death and the best backstabbing psycholady I've seen yet, now being treated as comedy elements? I mean, come on, Virgilia biting her tongue and arguing with Gaap (Gapgapgapgap!) is just... odd. Heck, when she starts meta-meta-gaming, mentioning "Episode 24", it's even weirder! And just what IS that bingbong noise?

But 45 being useless is ADORABLE.



God, this entire segment with Krauss, the Goat, and Virgilia in the tunnels is hilarious... A series of nonsense, flashbacks, nerd references, and power levels.

... And then the fight scene ends with yet another O LOL turnabout. Just... argh.

Yes, it definitely is.

I just finished Alliance of the Golden Witch. Annoyingly alternates incredibly strong moments with confusing and boring (sans perhaps one) Ange sections, as well as a large chunk of Maria backstory with MARIA (the Witch of Origins) that never gets particularly resolved. The dual identity problem (like with Eva and EVA) still exists with MARIA and Maria, but less so with ANGE and Ange, although it plays a key part with her later. In short, starts slow, but ends well. The amount of time it took to get to the first murder, between the Maria flashbacks and the Ange flashbacks, was lame, though.

Like Episode 3, Episode 4 doesn't end with the end of the 'game'. Instead, it finishes with the Tea Party, and ambiguously at that. Again, like Episode 3, it sets it up very well for a sequel, rather than the LOLWUT of 1 and 2. The ???? raises some very, very interesting questions indeed.

Can't wait for End of the Golden Witch. I keep being taunted by everybody who speaks moonrunes... Gonna follow the rest of the anime ftlulz.

Yes, you should.

Despite the appearance it's a good read. Isn't storytelling all that matters, besides Ryuukishi's art improved a good amount since the original Higurashi SNs. Look
