In general, books have a number of pages that are added to pad them out. If you were to count up only the actual number of story pages found Aoi House Vol. 1, then you would find that you have 168 pages. The same is true for Aoi House Vol. 2, so you end up with about 336 pages of story.
To bring the book up to 352 pages, we'll be including some of the extras from Aoi House Vol. 1 & 2 and dropping others. Both sets of Aoi Notes, the chibi character art, and the fan art gallery are going to be left on the cutting room floor, BUT we will be including 3 of the print-only extras that are a must-read for a complete Aoi House experience. These are Volume 1's "Student Records" section of character bios, Volume 1's "Fun Zone" section that features the Aoi House membership car, and Volume 2's "The Lost Scene."
So, why do an omnibus?
Well, we know that it's getting harder to find the first volumes of Aoi House in stores now (at the first three volumes of Amazing Agent Luna). But rather than just reprint them, we wanted to do something we had been discussing for a while and that was to do some omnibus editions. We also have some big news that will be announcing in December, so that news is going to help us to get two of our biggest OEL titles out to a wider audience. Exciting time indeed.
omnibus?
