damn... haven't had those in years... i think having my mother visiting may be a good idea after all...Gil Hamilton wrote:I can easily answer this question with "dolmadakia". Greek stuffed grape leaves are possibly the most delicious thing I've ever eaten, particularly when made with minced beef, the right kind of rice, and a bit of mint. *drools uncontrollably*
now for a more on topic note... tiramisu counts?

My favorite dessert is Lemon Meringue Pie. It's really a comfort food that goes waaay back to when I was just a wee lad.

Tiramisu and lemon meringue pie. Both delicious. My mother makes them wonderfully, especially the pie. My god is it good. And her Boston Creme pie, and Carmelita bars, and gingersnaps, and oh my god she makes such wonderful baked goods its incredible. Makes me miss those old Christmases when the kitchen became a cookie factory, and thousands of about a dozen or so types of baked goods were made and sent off to people, friends, family, people who impacted our lives, like teachers and mechanics and such. That's when Christmas felt like Christmas to me.

I have almost no sense of flavor, so I can't really enjoy any food unless it's super salty/spicy ect ><
I'm a very good cook thoguh, and I really love to do it.
Before I lost my sense of taste, my favorite food was chinese.
That, and something I make, which leaves one hell of a mess of a frying pan;
chicken breasts with sweet chilli sauce.

I love a lot of different flavors (not so much on the salty), but most of them depend on my mood. I do a lot of my own cooking, and even when I was married I was the one who always cooked. I frequently tease the General Discussion board with pics of what I've made for myself.
I'm very partial towards seafood in general, and crawfish in particular. OH, how I love crawfish. What I find amusing is that my mother shared a story with me about her food cravings when she was pregnant, and with me it just happened to be crawfish. My father owned a grocery store at the time, and she kept having him stock up on crawfish to satisfy her appetite for them.
Non-meat wise, I adore apples. They're my favorite fruit, and I like them fresh off the tree or cooked up in something with cinnamon and perhaps a touch of honey or brown sugar. The smell of apples alone puts me in a good mood.

Icould set up a video of me cooking stuff. I bet it would be pretty entertaining. Though, of course, with the ensuing fire and chaos and death, you might never hear from me again...
That said, I'm making enchiladas tonight.

Actually, it turns out that what I was told was ground beef was actually pork chops. I don't know how, I don't know why. But we didn't get to have enchiladas. I was sad.
