We actually DO NOT have a thread like this over in general discussion... Recipes and a "What's for [Meal] today" thread, but nothing JUST on yummy food and drink.

I'm very probably not what is called a foodie. I like a lot of stuff, but I'm not very discerning at all. About as far from a connoisseur as possible.

Anyway, I'm not a vegetarian... Though I don't eat THAT much meat, I'm quite a carnivore in the sense that I hate almost all vegetables... Salad stuff is ok - especially if it's on a charcoal grilled hamburger. ;)

Too much to actually list... Love pizza and lasagna... Favorite by country probably Mexican. Love American ice cream... Not so deeply into chocolate. Like most fruits, especially rock-hard nectarines and stuff like honey melons.

I try to eat healthy... <avoids lightnigh strike>... okay, I pay it lip service at least...

But my favorite? My mother-in-law's cookbook has a recipe in there which a friend dubbed 'meat candy'. Take smoked sausage cut into 1" lengths and wrap a piece of bacon around it held in place with a toothpick. Put it in a roasting pan and pour a box of brown sugar on top and bake until the sugar is liquified...

Okay, they are heart attack on toothpicks, but nearly anybody who has tried them can't resist. Fortunately I manage to only make it 2-3 times a year.

I dislike anything bland. Its the experience of eating that i love. The tastes, the smell, the texture as i chew. After taste.

my love of foods extends beyong any particular dishes. Different people make the same dish taste different :3, i love tasting different sorts of delicious recipes of the same dish.

I love soups quite a bit. I have a thing for them.

Oh and iam a pie over cake sorta fellow :3. I like chewy deserts over soft and spongy.

I have no qualms over whats in my food :3.

Ah yes >:3 those sort of dishes are wonderful indeed.

Spending a good portion of my younger life living off MREs and C-Rats has probably ruined me for having any culinary pretentions. That and being a snake-eater at bottom. If it's even vaguely edible and might make a billy goat puke it's fine and good, let's eat. This is not to say I can not appreciate good food. My favourite foods predictably enough are American "comfort" foods: Roast beef with mashed (whipped) potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, and I quite like a cheeseburger. Pizza would be another fave. I like almost anything from almost anywhere and would be a far shorter list to say what I do not like Liver tops that list by the way. Definately a carnivore, but I do like veggies, but not fruit so much. I tend to prefer salty/savoury to sweet. The gist of this ramble I suppose, it's all good, serve it up, I try it at least once.

I can easily answer this question with "dolmadakia". Greek stuffed grape leaves are possibly the most delicious thing I've ever eaten, particularly when made with minced beef, the right kind of rice, and a bit of mint. *drools uncontrollably*
