You sure about that? Seems the thought bubble in the last panel in this strip indicates that Zadie thinks Ramona is into Felix; simply based on how she's flattered by Felix's compliments.

She reckons that Ramona has noticed Felix’s appeal. Which is a tiny bit catty of her, but possibly, well, true. Felix probably wouldn’t get away with that overdone flattery if Ramona wasn’t enjoying being flattered by a cute guy. Which is not to accuse Ramona of planning to be unfaithful to Jung; faithfully paired-up people can still notice cuteness.

She's coming off as Sonya light.

Except that Sonya, not being light, was at least fun about this sort of thing. I mean, when she offered to model for someone, she actually got naked in the process...

Whether he's buttering up the potential boss or hitting on a lady who he knows is in a relationship, his actions seem a little sleazy.

Zadie's instant obsession reminds me (unpleasantly) of Zii and DiDi in the early days of MA3. Please don't tell me this is going to result in a triangle between her, Aaron and Felix.

As far as Ramona, I think she's still unsure of herself enough to let someone like Felix butter her up without calling him on his BS. I'd guess in a few years she'll be confident enough to enjoy his flirting without being quite as charmed by it.

That's basically my thoughts on all three of the scenes we've had so far. I'll give it a couple more, though, just to be safe. You never know, it really might get interesting eventually. Maybe once Zadie goes away for a few strips and we can focus on someone else.

Yeah, that was my issue since he started flirting with Ramona, and I can understand it being his nature at first, but he's been pushing it more and more every page, and I'm becoming more wary of him now. What I'm more concerned about is the possibility of Ramona going the typical MA3 route, which I really hope she doesn't.

Yeah, I'm sure Jung is insecure enough in the relationship to resort to violence. That's a character trait you can immediately recognise from even a cursory glance at his appearances so far.

He was nice enough to give the guy an interview cause of Gary. He might see it as a stab in the back.

Zadie is... not good. Manipulative, dishonest, jealous, and now seems spiteful.

She doesn’t strike me as spiteful; she seems more desperate. But not desperate in a good way. She’s not attacking Ramona, and she knows that they’re not in contention for Felix, given that Ramona has a partner; she’s just making a bigger and bigger idiot of herself in an attempt to get his attention. And like I said, that degree of desperation really isn’t a good look.

God forbid letting positive attention stay on Ramona for the moment - who, from dialogue, clearly has self-esteem issues - but instead, me, me, me.

Ramona doesn’t look to me like she has really serious self-esteem issues. She just comes across as a quiet, sometimes shy person; plenty of those around. We saw in her SDB appearances that she needed a little moral support from Angel, but when push came to shove, she could slap both Angel and Dillon down as hard as they deserved. I’d put her well within the “well-adjusted” range of personality types.

In fact, she comes out of this strip rather well. I get the impression that she’s guessed what’s going on with Zadie, and is cheerfully taking the piss out of the other woman as she fully deserves.

Felix, on the other hand, is beginning to get on my nerves. It doesn’t matter whether he’s flirting with Ramona to be sure of getting the job, or just out if habit; he’s laying it on far too thickly. It’s all a bit Theophilus P. Wildebeest.

I'm not sure how nude modelling would pan out, since this comic feels like it is sticking to a safe for work approach; perhaps some awkward framing or maybe it happening off-panel would be the solution?

Giz has shown that she’s perfectly capable of using competent scenery censorship, should it be needed.

To clarify, I didn't think that Ramona had *serious* self-esteem issues. That said, I think you're probably right by saying it is simply her being bashful.

And I do know that Giz can masterfully sculpt a sexy scene, regardless of how censorship frames it. I was merely making an onservation about how such a display wouldn't exactly gel with the really tame world of the new comic.
