Ahh, it’s the ol’ it’s-funny-when-women-physically-harm-men gag. Really aiming high.

Crushing handshakes really don’t qualify as “physical harm”, even in reality.

I have to wonder about Montreal Rent, if he can pay 700 a month to his parents and not have his own place (and wonder what he does to afford it).
Also, I have to wonder why his parents would even want him out, if he's paying 700 a month.

Also — would you put up with Aaron full-time for just CA$700 a month (and the opportunity cost of a mancave)?

Well, I'm not related to him.
...
But given that I like my privacy... not unless I really needed the money or he turned out to have some serious redeeming qualities.
Like an ability to shut up on command and stay quiet. ^^;

I'd say that his parent's basement is MUCH better than anything one could get for $700 a month in the city. Anything a person could get for that price would pretty much be a rat hole in the slums. Unless rent indices are very different in Canada than the States. Also, there is more to having your own place than simply paying the rent. Power probably being chief amongst them. Add to that he would have to buy and prepare his own meals and even at $700 for his parents basement Aaron's getting a pretty good deal.JoybuzzerX wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 5:06 amI have to wonder about Montreal Rent, if he can pay 700 a month to his parents and not have his own place (and wonder what he does to afford it).

That assumes he doesn't already have to pay and prepare his own meals. Paying rent doesn't mean his parents take care of his food.

If we’re being literalistic about this — an honest advisor would tell Aaron that he should check the terms of a deal before shaking on it. He has no idea what Zadie’s apartment is like, where it is, or how large a room he’s getting...
