New Strip! Sgt. Slash-Stab crashes the rescue party and throttles Teddi, but Prudence gets the drop on her.... temporarily.

Someone please tell my if the forces of good are this dumb how earth hasn't been over run by hell? Seriously rhus comic has not given me much reason to be impressed with the heavenly host. Which is a shame because from the way they were talked about initially they sounded like a force to be reckoned with.

I don't suspect we are seeing the cream of the crop here... although Charity has shown real competence when the situation demanded it. Prudence, on the other hand, not so much.

Why did Pandora cover up Naomi's mouth?! What did that accomplish, because clearly she doesn't like Ilsa and wants to get out of there and she just intentionally sabotaged someone trying to get them out of there.

Yeah, outsmarting Prudence isn't all that impressive.

Panel One is so good that it almost makes up for the prevalence of idiocy afterwards moving the plot again.

Where did Prudence come from, though? It seemed to be suggested that she was in a different group,* yet apparently teleported to the right place to be a Deus ex Machina? (Before being disarmed by dumbness ex whatever. Aha).
I suppose technically being the only one with basic intelligence would mean Slash-stab is "the best," but I still don't quite feel it is exactly earned; I mean, anyone with some average intelligence would be "the best" if everyone they face are utter morons. Maybe that's the joke that I'm overlooking, yet doesn't make it anymore satisfying.

*Sorry to beat that old dead horse again, yet it reiterates how truly pointless and cheap that scene was with topless strippers grinding against macho Ted because "stealth." Vis-à-vis, emphasises the comic's problem with disregarding logic, plot, and character for the sake of a lazy and/or smutty joke.

I suppose the next twist will be that Charity has seduced a force of succubi to usurp control of the academy from Ilsa? Would hardly be the dumbest twist, and could arguably *justify* her descent into primal sexual promiscuity. Though, this is conjecture.

Sorry, I get the joke that Prudence is far from the best heaven has to offer and this is consistent with her character. It's just this comic has severely depleted my capacity for suspension of disbelief.

Keep in mind Prudence is Cherub Class and therefore not a heavy hitter. Charity is Choir Class and while she's displayed more competence she's not without her weaknesses. It the same with Zachuriel whose class designation is unknown, but has a weakness for Pandora. They are the rookie angels and therefore not that powerful or in control of their base impulses. Ilsa was genuinely concerned about an angel hit squad being dispatched after Chloe's time travel stunt so there are people in the heavenly host she doesn't want to trifle with, but we haven't seen yet. Besides it's more interesting and funny if both sides are evenly matched.

Not surprisingly Prudence was compromised with food. Gabrielle figured that out easily enough. So far Teddi's godlike powers seem to be a work in progress, but Ilsa is the headmistress of Tartarus and from what I've seen from a bonus strip she's extremely powerful in her own right. Naomi is clever enough to think of something, but if not there is still Teddy who is linked to Teddi and will know what's going on and can possibly sneak in masked with pheromones. There is also Charity and while she too can be easily compromised she might succeed because unlike Prudence she has some idea of what she's getting herself into and how to cope.

Um, how is Sgt. Slashstab tossing around a DEITY?
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite comic on the Internet.

In a bonus strip Chloe was forced by Slashstab to participate in a beauty contest. The judges included Hekate, the goddess of witchcraft, who is not won over by any of the succubi charms. Despite Chloe's bungling she wins, but only because Hekate is into BDSM administered by none other than Slashstab which is why she declared her the winner. While this does't necessarily mean she's more powerful than Hekate, Slashstab would still have to pack a punch in order to get any enjoyment out of it. So all that being stated in the spoiler bar I can believe Slashstab is powerful enough to toss Teddi around, however, I don't think she's reached her peak yet.

I had wondered whether Ilsa would have been impressed by a mortal that managed to break a succubus's heart...

no, the ascension was incomplete. and She's only half of Them anyway.

and on another note: Lugh damn it! I keep tripping over the pronouns when it comes to Teddi/y
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Also Ted has not had sufficient time to discover the powers available. The male half would seem to hold the evil side and has only manifested its abilities while asleep. The female half only just discovered a sense of connectivity, which probably isn’t so helpful in this situation.
