It's a character driven series of slice of life narratives with a weak overarching link. Full stop. It's never been more than that, it's never aspired to be more than that. So I'm honestly not sure why you're complaining as if the story quality has gone down.
Because it honestly has.
In the beginning, there was some actual plot. Chloe doing her best to find a way to get Teddy out of this ill begotten contract and the hijinx that ensued as a result. It was weak, sure - but it still was entertaining.
But, ever since the Valentine's day arc; the comic has taken a nose dive and entered smut territory, exclusively. There were sexual elements prior to that, but they were very mild by comparison to what we've seen over the last couple of years.

When Chloe was actually a character, not the equivalent of a lamp...
(Sorry for ranting ahead. It got a bit out of hand thinking about stuff)
The smut is half of the problem, beating a dead horse here and maybe preaching to the choir, yet the fairly graphic sexual content (especially for "PG-13") became even more tedious by the fact it took the place of any potential story progression. It doesn't seem like "keeping faithful to succubi mythology" by showing cheap sleaze, but rather a lazy substitute for actual effort in writing. Seems even worse because potentially interesting characters and plot threads have been tossed to the side in favour of the same crass crap (how is Naomi and her angel faring? Have the demon hunters regrouped with a larger force? Why isn't God or the Devil or whatever equivalent doing anything about the disruption of balance?).
It would've been cliche, but the "geeky outcast gaining confidence" was the route I thought Teddy was going to travel through, but he didn't overcome his weaknesses nor learn anything - he mutated into a lust creature that *stopped* his/her former bullies by being a "hot girl," mind-influencing pheromones and having sex with them, so not only did he not develop, but the tormentors never stopped through a newfound respect or even free will, only because of pheromones and their former victim being exceptional at intercourse.
Going into conjecture, yet the way PixieTrix omits DC updates from social media feeds suggests that they've given up even pretending to care... or maybe are just embarrassed by it?
