Re: 27-09-18 Get out of my head
Oh, the spy thriller plot rears its ugly head again...
Also, never thought about this before, but that trope of "sudden unexpected kiss to hide from pursuers," is quite molest-y, especially when a complete stranger does it to another.
Anyways, seems as though Sonya's emotional connection to Zii lingers due to the latter's sexual prowess, though the "sudden kiss" trope apparently is both a welcome distraction for her and an instant turn on? I know the premise of the comic is rom-com with the sexiness taken to the nth degree, but it gets a bit tiring that there are no professionals, at least where they need to be - Bianca is clearly on a - *heavy sigh* - super secret mission that is presumably highly hazardous, yet she is willing to endanger a stranger because horny? Suppose James Bond does that, too, but that's the worst part of his character.
I guess Bianca lucked out that she found Sonya, as she seems to become aroused from drama and aggressive intimacy(?); maybe they both lucked out, as Bianca has found a place to lie low and lie dirty (ahem), and Sonya gets to have a distraction from the memory of Zii.
Beautiful artwork as ever! Even though it arose from a morally unscrupulous interaction, cannot deny the sense of enticement from Sonya as from shock, she warms into the kiss, and the final panel has an enthralling expression that is a nice mix of flirtatiousness and seduction.

I didn't think we'd see Bianca again, though this paring actually makes sense. Considering how much Sonya loves drama.

And, let's be fair, as one-strip solutions for complex emotional problems, using a problematic character who we all thought was gone from the comic forever, go, it's really rather a good one. Just so long as Bianca's entanglement with the spy genre doesn't run to the "automatic 100% fatality for the girlfriend of the week" trope.
Except that she's got Matt, remember?

Incidentally, if this goes where we all think it's going, Peggy may have something to say. She's a bit protective of Sonya, and clearly (and justifiably) regards Bianca as an effing menace.

So it looks like even Sonya will be paired off with someone.

So Sonya is now with Bianca, who was with Peggy, who is now with Gary?
