Pandora was plenty competent. I miss her.

I feel like Teddi and Pandora were wasting their time with the angel blood. I mean, if the weird frankenboy they've created simply rejects Chloe, what was the point?

I was thinking more of a stress test, to see how much damage he can endure. ^^;Fluffy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 10:06 amI can understand this reasoning behind this; but, I'm not looking forward to seeing what it entails. Like, does this mean we should expect a repeat of Teddy's sexual escapades; only this time, as a male slamming countless females to see how long he can last before being spent ? (oh joy! so looking forward to 'that' arc! )Error of Logic wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 7:02 am
Right now, delay isn't such a bad thing. The characters need to regroup and plan. Not to mention figure out whether Teddy and Chloe are compatible before she does something… permanent.

Considering what Teddy is expected to do in order to save Chloe's life - you know sex is going to be involved to a major degree. There's no avoiding it.Error of Logic wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 12:02 pmI was thinking more of a stress test, to see how much damage he can endure. ^^;
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

That would be funny, but inaccurate since Prudence knows about their pact and views it as a marriage.vampire hunter D wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 10:05 amAnd now Naomi and Pru will show up and call Teddy an adulterer

I know. But the issue is not whether he'll do it.Fluffy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 1:06 pmConsidering what Teddy is expected to do in order to save Chloe's life - you know sex is going to be involved to a major degree. The issue is whether he'll survive.

Charity seems to know so much... maybe she has some idea of how developed his godhead needs to be before he can survive this?
Will somebody think to ask?

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

It isn't just a question of Teddy's survival but the survival of the general population. Teddy's developing godly attributes are currently being restrained by a heavenly divinity "force field" powered by Charity. Can she keep the field in place should Teddy and Chloe attempt to solve her virginity issue? If not, Teddy and a lot of others go BOOM. If Teddy can't control his current powers, whatever they are, Chloe might also go BOOM. There are many questions to be answered before Teddy and Chloe can risk getting together.

Bwah-hah-hah-ha. Charity bonked a succubus.

What I'd like to know is, if deflowering virgin succubi is such a big issue that it requires all these prerequisites and precautions, why are we just now hearing about it?
Choe and Pandora's "talk" with Abby only said the first couple of guys that bone them would be at risk. Now, the threat is to the general public (i.e. the mini "big bangs"). If it takes a being like Teddy to deflower a succubus, why are there no records of events similar to what's taking place?

Probably the other men who fetched up against a virgin succubus were plain vanilla mortals, were not 'blessed' with people who could warn and prepare them, and so wound up in the ranks of mysterious deaths and disappearances.

Might just be some confusion over assumptions.Gotoh wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 9:00 pmWhat I'd like to know is, if deflowering virgin succubi is such a big issue that it requires all these prerequisites and precautions, why are we just now hearing about it?

1. We've been told for pages and pages that deflowering a virgin succubus is generally fatal for human males. There's nothing new, there.
2. There seems to be a real danger to everyone nearby as a result of Teddy's apotheosis, which Charity appears to be blocking.
3. Some have now speculated that if Teddy were to try to take advantage of his new status, it could trigger the explosion that Charity has stopped. That's a new situation which only exists so far on the forum.

Dead people still end up on the news, or the obituary, even if the victims die under mysterious circumstances. Though, in succubi related incidents, you'd think the cause of death would be attributed 'wild animal attack' or something.Error of Logic wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 9:40 pmProbably the other men who fetched up against a virgin succubus were plain vanilla mortals, were not 'blessed' with people who could warn and prepare them, and so wound up in the ranks of mysterious deaths and disappearances.
I'm not being contrarian, it's just one of those things that makes me wonder how the existence of cryptids, magic users, etc. has remained a secret from the public all this time, despite events like this one and the invasion of Montreal.
This is the part I don't get. An angel, demon, or an extraordinarily resilient human male would have sufficed to deflower Chloe. So why did Teddy need to become a god? We've gone from the male victim might die, to untold thousands might die.FuzzyFace wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 12:40 amMight just be some confusion over assumptions.

Instead of solving the problem, it's created a bigger one.

Well to be fair, Teddy didn't know he was going to become a god. He just thought he'd gain the angel durability.
"We're both so young" was a really odd thing to say though, given how much sex he's already had (albeit in another form) and that he knows Chloe needs to do this to live.

The tired old cliche of "No-one believes in the supernatural despite loads of evidence" has never been particularly realistic and works best in comedies and light action stories where the audience doesn't bother to question minor details like missing persons or enormous light shows in heavily populated areas. Since you've already made it this far in DC, I wouldn't bother worrying about it.Gotoh wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 1:27 amDead people still end up on the news, or the obituary, even if the victims die under mysterious circumstances.
