For that matter, shouldn't Teddi have an accent? I remember she had a cowgirl gimmick at one point.

Yeah, but Chloe wouldn't know that... she might get in trouble, actually.

Probably. This page feels like it’s for the audience for sure.dmra wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 7:07 amFourteenth! Fabulous.
While it's welcome to get an explanation for the accents, and not wanting to rain on the parade, but doesn't anybody else find the writing here a bit clunky. Plot exposition isn't always the easiest thing to do but why would the girls tell Chloe all about the reason for their club personas in such detail when she's supposed to have been working there for weeks if not months? Presumably that was part of her introduction to the place and how it operated, not to mention part of her getting to know the people who worked there.
You'd think at least one of them would have said "but surely you know all this?".
Teddi might never have stayed all the way to closing time, though, what with school and Abby to worry about.

None of these people are reacting appropriately suspicious to how out of character “Teddi” has been all evening. There was a hint of bewilderment a couple pages back, but there’s been no follow up, so far. Maybe they realize something, but are lost king past because of her generosity.
Also, is the bouncer doing a false accent, too? It’s hard to tell from his one line.

Given the angle of her head and the direction of her eyes; I think Cookie's attention is more on Chloe's chest than her ass.
Or she's gone to celebrate her ill gotten riches (despite how dark the concept is - now that she has an excess of funds on her person thanks to 'Teddy's' generosity, I'm not entirely convinced Autumn's going to stay on the wagon after her earlier brush with death).
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

My guess is that his accent is the real thing.DarkAsh wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 1:21 pmNone of these people are reacting appropriately suspicious to how out of character “Teddi” has been all evening. He's still using present participles ending in "i-n-apostrophe" instead of "--ing" (as he would do if he was talking in neutral English).
We, the old ghosts of Pizen Bluff, who still roam about this dead forum screaming imprecations at the characters and whatnot.

That's my point. You'd think someone would have brought it up.Storm-forge mystique wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 8:54 amYeah, but Chloe wouldn't know that... she might get in trouble, actually.

Yeah, the fact that there are plenty of people around us racial minorities who can and will pay good money to see us conform to the prejudices they hold of us is utterly hilarious. None of us have ever had to carefully navigate around those stereotypes to get out of an unexpected confrontation with those people unharmed.Cortez wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 2:48 amAt least now the joke is about racist folk eating up stereotypes like that.bridgetvoid wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 2:34 amok i feel a lot better about the accent shit now, though i'm also kinda curious how much is written in advance vs what could've been retconned since the forum was so thrilled about it, though i also never watched stripperella (ok i think i did when it first came out but don't remember anything) so that reference was 10 miles above me

You're talking to a latino dude, you're preaching to the choir.

I hated Yuki before it was cool.

I know it's a video poking fun at stereotypes; but, they got it right with the entitled/rich white folks (at least - in regards to Logan Paul, who's the guy on the right; that stereotype fits him like a well worn glove).
