... or she could return for the Gary-Zii wedding.
I'm sure she would make the cutest little bridesmaid!

Patreon is a way of supporting creators on a continuing basis, not for specific projects. You pledge a certain amount a month to guarantee their income, and they generally offer people who’ve pledged enough some bonus material (sketches or extra strips, say) or undertake to do some extra public work if the total pledged is above a certain level.
It’s a decent system — I back a few Web comic artists that way — but it does end up imposing certain constraints and commitments on the creator. Giz has said that she definitely won’t be using it to keep the current Pixietrix line going. She does use Kickstarter to finance print collections, though, and she might use Patreon in future for other things.
While Kiley’s grasp of professional ethics is really bloody awful, I think that she has some. I couldn’t imagine her abusing a pseudo-therapeutic relationship, as she has with Yuki, to get a personal revenge. She might warn Yuki that Matt wasn’t reliable, but Matt has been quite open with Yuki about his habits, and Yuki is surely delusional enough to think that love for herself could reform a cad, in best romantic style.worldshaking00 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 8:44 pmAlthough, it would be an interesting dilemma if Kiley discovered that Yuki & Matt were a couple now, and she tried to dissuade Yuki from sleeping any more with Matt. For her thesis to be complete, she Kiley should check the progress of Yuki in her therapy. Yuki does trust Kiley, and Kiley hates Matt's guts (for good reason).
Oh there are still plenty of needlework magazines out there...We could meet Kiley back at the magazine shop, I suppose. Although with print dying...

For the Matt-Yuki wedding seems more likely...Fairy Glade's Fairy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 9:24 pm... or she could return for the Gary-Zii wedding.
We, the old ghosts of Pizen Bluff, who still roam about this dead forum screaming imprecations at the characters and whatnot.

Maybe when Kiley does return she will be demoted back to being a one-panel joke character like when she first showed up in the comic. That's what I'm currently predicting but I could be wrong.

I was thinking about embriodery, but both might work.
The Internet seems to have killed off paper magazines in some fields, but they’v been impressively resilient in others.

Kiley and every character whose appeared in the series will probably show up in the final chapter chasing Gary, Zii, and DiDi in a comically large mob a’la the beginning of “Ranma 1/2: The Movie, Big Trouble in Nekonron China” and and the end of “Urusei Yatsura: Only You”. It would be a great way to get everyone back. They sort of did it with the end of Eerie Cuties.

i really hated that being the end of EC.
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Some would say he's getting exactly what he deserves. Maybe he's found the one or maybe he'll get bored after awhile and this will end quite literally in flames.
Personally I'm not as sad that this is the end of the Gary and Yuki's relationship prospects as I am Kiley and Matt's. I think they were good together and she didn't mind him seeing people on the side. What destroyed their relationship was him using psychology for evil. He's more likely to avoid repeating that mistake than not seeing someone behind Yuki's back. Hopefully, there's someone in this strip Kiley can find. Eric maybe?

I reckon that Kiley is really already happily married to science (or maybe to Science!). I mean, it’s an open relationship, she can get her rocks off on the side, but her final pairing will be that — her first pairing.
And honestly, we need to be careful about this “final pairing” fetish anyway. Some people don’t need a partner to complete them. Just for one, Sonya’s best ending would surely be recognising that she’s unlocked her true potential in her own right, and that she doesn’t particularly need a compatible long-term partner just now. Actually, it’s better if she doesn’t find one, as a true partner for her would probably be a reliable ally in her schemes of drama and chaos.

Has Sonya ever met Dillon? Now that would be a pairing - the dynamic duo of melodrama and drama queendom.

Re: 05-04-18 Rough me up
They’ve been in the same room briefly, but I don’t think they’ve ever really interacted.
If they did, the results would surely depend a lot on context. If they just happened to be standing next to each other, they wouldn’t have much cause to spark. At most, Sonya might flirt with Dillon on reflex, and be mildly PO’d when he failed to respond (or just assume the correct explanation). If Dillon was in the middle of some kind of dramatic flounce, Sonya would probably jump on board for shit and giggles. If Sonya was running an improv drama of her own, Dillon might either join in or get jealous because he wasn’t the star.
But really, I want to see Zii meet Kiley properly, just once, before the comic ends. I still think that Zii must believe that Kiley has an inexplicable hatred for her...

Re: 05-04-18 Rough me up
But Dillon needs an Amber replacement and Sonya needs a steady supply of drama in her life so them becoming best buds would be about as suitable a way for tying up their stories as Yuki and Matt getting together.
