Some digestibles being hurled wouldn't be out of the question... even if on accident by one of the ladies accidentally bumping into a member of the wait-staff.

Bet Maura will realize Tessa is her exception.
I'd be very happy with that... even more if they realize they're really in love & cannot live without each other......
but Giz has a lo-o-ong record of making us think ''hey X and Y go so well together they should totally become a serious couple'' and then torpedoing the relationship..... :-s

in fact I now am wondering: is there any one pairing in this Mà3 series, romantic or sexual or both, any pairing that at some time had a hot thing going on, that didn't end in breakup? at least one?

No, all food fights involve pasta being poured over men for not performing cunnilingus. No wasting good canard à l’orange.

That's nice. Me, I first found about this comic when I read about it in The Bad Webcomics Wiki.

<snip>

Anyway, the review piqued my curiosity so I decided to check out Ma3. And that's why I'm here today. Thank you, Bad Webcomics Wiki! :-bd
Well I quoted that review myself once, and the only thing I agreed with was its remarks about how all the plots are predicated by characters being terrible at communication and acting stupidly, which is undeniably true.
For the record: when I followed the link provided by TBWW and reached the front page of the Ma3 site, the strip that greeted me was the one where DiDi and Roxie go to see Brandy to talk about kayfabe and end up making out. I went "Woohoo! Lesbian wrestlers!" and was instantly hooked. :p

Before your comment, one person complained without having any constructive or basic criticism, and that means everyone is a grouchy ghost?
Read my sig. This place is as dead as the Sinfest forum. For similar reasons, too, as True Avery explained before -- a frenzy of moderation gone too far.

Thus the ghost thing. We who still haunt and roam this cemetery of a forum can, of course, be nothing but restless ghosts. B-)

I'm not looking for an argument, just suggesting that you read people's entire statements instead of picking out single words, that is if you want to offer counterpoints or elaboration to their comments.
But I don't want to. I love all the characters. I love all the developments. The way I see it, this is a webcomic with no villains -- just normal people, human beings like you or me, whose shenanigans we are supposed to enjoy. Ma3 is not about moral lessons and pc hammering. There isn't such a thing as divine punishment in this story, not even for seamy guys like Nathan or Yvan. (At worst, they lose some money or get a kick to the balls... which, in the Ma3-verse, is common fare that can hit anyone at any time, never mind their virtues or flaws.) That's why I don't really feel like disputing the self-righteous preaching of moralists who only write to damn characters to hell for their perceived faults. If I ever reply to them, it's only to regret how the forum has fallen.

Double post merged. The DAMNed
We, the old ghosts of Pizen Bluff, who still roam about this dead forum screaming imprecations at the characters and whatnot.

And with that I'm now at 3000 posts! :ymparty:

It doesn't seem all that long ago I first created an account because my interest in Penny & Aggie lead me to read this strip and the rest is history.
That's nice. Me, I first found about this comic when I read about it in The Bad Webcomics Wiki. The sheer hatin' in that review really was something else... a few choice quotes:

"Fetish fuel patterned on bad harem comedy anime."
"Shameless fanservice and no substance."
"Desperately wants to be porn without actually being porn."
"Everyone is a drooling moron."
"Giz is another no-imagination type who watches too much anime and has never gotten laid."
"No self-respecting modern woman would write a character like DiDi."
"DiDi is just fuckbait who takes any grabbing and drooling as if it was no big thing."
"Zii is an ultra horndog with Mary Sue-like powers and no respect for the personal space of others. She needs to get her butt kicked."

The reviewer goes on and on about Zii, describing all the evils she has done in her life. My favorite item in the list is:

"Because of her, a guy who liked cold meats becomes tormented by sausages!"

Poor darling. The horror!

Eventually, the reviewer concludes with what he thinks is an irresistible final argument:

"Giz is only in the webcomic business to appeal to horny nerds so they’ll buy her crap and she can hopefully not have to work because her comic will make the money for her."

Gee, I thought making a comic such as this one was a lot of work. And I thought every author in the world dreams to be able to live off their work. Go figure.

Anyway, the review piqued my curiosity so I decided to check out Ma3. And that's why I'm here today. Thank you, Bad Webcomics Wiki! :-bd
Never heard of that site and now that I have I'm not sure if I should avoid it or let curiosity get the better of me. Life is too short to hate read.

Well they have more on-point criticisms of Shortpacked!, Dumbing of Age, Misfile and MegaTokyo. It's not all bad.

Not worth the time, it's written like some angry 4chan-er's rant having a hate boner, so there isn't much comedy value. Once you've glanced a couple of articles, you've pretty much seen it all. They may have a point here and there, but I'd bet it's more of a broken-clock situation than the writer(s) attempting to provide genuine insight into a work.

Frenzy of moderation? Other than this board's rather odd quote rules, it seems the only real mod crackdowns have been on truly egregious behavior like the incest cerberus. The boards have slowed down, but as far as I can tell it's from people having become disenchanted with the comics, and those who haven't having become disenchanted with the disenchantment.

Seeing as I'm the mod, I echo the above post. What frenzy of moderation?? :-\ Right now, it's more like a frenzy with not enough moderation... I'm getting there...

Also, dead? Each comic gets typically a few dozen comments. That sounds pretty alive to me. Now General Discussion, THAT is dead compared to its heyday...
