So it seems like they're going to give her a chance to get going, maybe because of her age? Or maybe they've mellowed some since a witch started running the show. Seems weird to spare someone you'd kill wherever you found her in five years.

Abby, you reeeaaallly need to shut up now... #-o
For those curious: my avatar is an artistic rendering of a spaceship I drew for a primitive (by today's standards) multiplayer online game called XPilot. (More about both on my website.)

Bzzz.

Because they've begun to learn (and accept) that not all cryptids are inherently evil. So it makes sense that they'd give Abby a chance first.

Abby is really invoking the "Too dumb to live"-trope. =_=

Abby does go beyond "childish naivety," firmly into "too stupid to live." (Aha, just as I finished typing, scrolled up to see "too dumb to live" trope invoked, so I guess I'm not alone in my thinking here).
I know kids (hell, quite a few people) can be dumb, yet Abby appears so mentally inept, she should've died forgetting to breathe... Though, I suppose she actually has died before due to her idiocy, so never mind.

Well, in spite of the idiot being centre stage, I far prefer this plot line over the repulsive Teddi and tedious Pandora. Chloe being a character again, sort of~ yay!

Generally speaking, in my experience anyway, kids aren't so much dumb as they are clearly inexperienced. An adult can run circles around them because they have the benefit of more years of mental and physical development and experience.
Abby, however, is a gormless little twit.
That being said, I agree this is a better storyline than Teddi's sexcapades. In spades.

They still didn't catch on that Chloe is the visitor from hell, as I thought. Watching stupidity has limited entertainment value for me, but this still works, I hope something else happens soon though.

Remember - Tandy initially thought that Teddy looks the way he does because he was jealous of all the attention his cousin (Chloe) was getting; so, made a deal with a succubus (Abby) to look like Chloe. After seeing Abby in her new succubus form, Gabrielle is on board with that concept.

Which really makes their whole 'you're getting a warning, succubus!' to Abby all the more foollish - given that they've spotted her with Teddy's 'cousin'. For all they know, Chloe is another foolish mortal making a deal with a demon.

This is why I consider them calling themselves 'Demon Hunters'* and absolute joke.

Happily echoing all of this.

I mean, honestly - Abby was in the middle of succubus lessons from Chloe; had only just finished asking Chloe how to hide her new appendages. Abby didn't even get a chance to try this latter part herself before the pitiful 'demon hunters' interrupted their lesson, but somehow seems to have forgotten that she still looks like a child succubus?

Just when you think Abby can't get any dumber - she opens her mouth. Goldfish have longer memory spans than this insipid twit does.

Also - wtf was with Abby's response to Gabrielle's comment about Teddy? The author was probably going for a smug child bragging about how she's smarter than her brother; but that line, and the artist's choice in going with a smug smile and a snap of the fingers, just really makes that line really squicky - especially when it's coming from an 11 year old girl.

* - I get where you're coming from in regards to demon hunters giving their enemies a chance, Gotoh; I just think it's inherently stupid that self proclaimed demon hunters would give dangerous beings a chance to make even more trouble for mortals before they put an end to their behavior; just because a single witch saved their school from an evil witch.

*sigh* Now I'm thinking about my old tropical fish tank.
I can't say anything for the little finned guys' memory power, other than their ability to remember if the lid came off it was time to eat, but I did love watching them swim around.

You wouldn't expect a police cadet to announce they're still in the academy to a potentially dangerous criminal. Instead, they'd act as if they've already graduated and say they're an officer of the law to try to make that criminal think twice about trying anything.

To the criminal, a cadet is no threat because they have no authority. But a full-fledged officer can arrest them and is authorized to use lethal force, if necessary. I'd say the same likely applies to demon slayers.

Perhaps, but it's preferable to AA's "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality from before.

What if they encountered someone like Nina, or Ace, and simply attacked them on sight without giving them a chance to explain themselves? Tandy and Gabby wouldn't be heroines, they'd be murderers, because we know Nina and Ace aren't a threat to anyone.

Neither is Layla, who feeds off one of AA's students (Tiff) regularly, without killing her. She's even best friends with her food. So the AA students now have reason to hold off until they know for certain whether the cryptid in question is actually a threat.

I kind of want to complain about Abby being such a dumbass, but then I remember that it's this or what Teddy is doing... and suddenly this is a big improvement. Not a laugh-riot exactly but quite something.

Well, since demons are in hiding from humanity and likely don't have human's going "Yay! Demons! So awesome! Let them live! They don't want to use as food or kill us!" by saying they're the law around there, they likely don't mean it literally and totally mean they are willing to kill them.

Chloe being there is all about killing someone. Really, if they were good demon hunters, they'd have killed them on sight :p

Abby can you please stop being the dumbest character in a comic full of them?
