Dangerously Chloe 13-11-17 How Do They Work
New Strip! Abby tries to pump Chloe for information on succubus powers without revealing her new condition. It doesn't last long.

She... went to Chloe for help. Abby went to Chloe for help!
Maybe there's still hope for this comic...
(I wonder what the sunglasses are for?)

For those curious: my avatar is an artistic rendering of a spaceship I drew for a primitive (by today's standards) multiplayer online game called XPilot. (More about both on my website.)

I certainly hope so. We all need a break from Teddi's arc for a little bit. At least until the hate dies down. As for the sunglasses, Abbey probably thought she needed them to hide her new... appendages. Also, who here thinks that this will end with Abbey's transformation being permanent and having to be transferred to Tartarus or Charybdis? I kind of hope for the latter.

Whoa - somebody acted intelligently! I am floored!
I'm gonna guess that the sunglasses indicate that her eyes are no longer human.

I'm with Fuzzyface on this one. Her eyes are probably a sinister deep red now.

So, notthing kinky. No one axting dumb. How will you guys find a way to complain about this one?
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Her eyes don't look any different. I think Abby just put together a disguise and sun glasses are included even if unnecessary.
And yes I too am astounded that someone is talking to Chloe, but I still think the previous absence of communication was due to Chloe having a low amount of energy and moody instead of a clunky plot device.

Heh, funny how Abby remembered _now_ to have sublety when a few moments earlier she was throwing herself off a tree repeatedly in a park that, seemingly, had plenty of people walking by.
..then again knowing her, she probably is just worried that Teddy would find out.
Either way, yay Chloe! ♥ I'm happy with where this is going

No - acting intelligently would have been Abby asking Chloe about such things before going out in public area to jump from trees and learn to fly; not after.
As for the sunglasses - seeing as Abby was specifically asking about the horns and not eye color (and she's a completely dumbass); she probably thought the sunglasses would help hide her new changes better.
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

True, but with this strip's well-documented grounding in gags in the moment at the expense of other things like common sense and continuity, this is the best thing we can hope for right now. I wish the last strip hadn't happened too, but we can't do anything about that now.Fluffy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 10:43 amNo - acting intelligently would have been Abby asking Chloe about such things before going out in public area to jump from trees and learn to fly; not after.

Well I for one am mostly concerned about what the next strip might lead to: that this Return of the Chloe will only be for a very short time, that it won't lead us anywhere with whatever her own solution to her problems was, that its inevitable end will mark a return to bad form for the comic by going back to you-know-who and all the things we complained about before. Yes, this strip doesn't have much to complain about, but in the context of only happening as a result of selfish dumbassery on Abby's part, next to an existing storyline I don't care for going on 2 years now, it's not as impressive as it could be.vampire hunter D wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 5:03 amSo, notthing kinky. Whilst you're not wrong and it would have been more intelligent to go speak to Chloe beforehand, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she's probably aware of Chloe's nocturnal actions on some level (heck she can't have slept soundly EVERY night this Teddi arc has been plodding along between Chloe and with what Pandora/Dad probably got up to) and didn't want to wake her. Don't forget that she's pretty immature too so she's just behaving like a kid at Christmas who finds and plays with a complicated gift and breaks it because they were too impatient to await adult supervision on how to properly use it, and now she's sheepishly holding the broken toy up to mummy Chloe and asking for her to fix it. Cue puppy dog eyesFluffy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 10:43 amNo - acting intelligently would have been Abby asking Chloe about such things before going out in public area to jump from trees and learn to fly; not after.

Regarding the sunglasses trope it's pretty common fare and has been established elsewhere in the *C universe that this is artistic indication to us she's behaving in a sneaky manner (kinda like the way people also draw characters tippy-toeing to indicate sneaking) but its also used in this context to actually hide her horns (and potentially eye differences as stated by others)
