I said it before, it happened a lot of times in EC
It only happened once to Ace and Kade respectively (then, back to Ace). I wouldn't consider that "a lot". Though I agree that it's repetitive.

EC only really had three regular substantial male characters who had bodies that could change gender- and calling one of those (Dio) a substantial character is a stretch.

When something happens to two out of three characters for quite a long span of the comic, and was even revisited in a bonus story - I reckon saying it happened "a lot" is pretty justifiable.

Personally, I don't think Chloe could really carry a story on her own which is why they introduced other characters some of whom are more interesting.
Oh, I agree on that front; however, seeing as the comic is named after Chloe, it would be nice to see her a little more often than the rare guest appearance used to prop up yet another Teddy/Pandora story line.
If it weren't for the all the problems Giselle listed I would love to see a spin-off with Naomi and Prudence, but I know that's just not meant to be. =((
Hell, there's no reason we couldn't see more of them in THIS comic; seeing as Naomi was stalking Teddy due to her suspicions he was an alien and Prudence is - effectively - her guardian angel. But, ever since Teddy's impromptu sex change, Naomi seems to have lost any and all interest in him; which is frustrating, seeing as she seemed to be one of the few (outside of Gabrielle and Tandy) who questioned how quickly Teddy could have gotten all this work done to himself - and healed - over a weekend.

Instead, it's been a year and a half focused on Teddy, Pandora and Abby.

You and others may find it interesting; many others find it drawn out and would love to see something new happen (and no, Abby becoming a succubus isn't cutting it).
I'm not bored and would love to keep reading if outside circumstances weren't intruding, but if they're going to be wrapping things up I don't want a rushed ending like Eerie Cuties and Magick Chicks.
By the rate they're going (two updates a week - and the attention firmly stuck on these three twits), don't be surprised if that rushed ending becomes a reality.
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

And weirdest of all, here, we have a title character who the writer can’t work out how to write. Plus, we have a second lead with a big defining character feature (the gadget obsession) which the writer can’t even begin to make work. I mean, making shit up as you go along is one thing, but dude, didn’t you think things through at all before you started writing?
And yet, the story was working. We had some interesting conflicts with Naomi and Gabby and Tandy, amusing hijinks with Pandora and Charity and Prudence... and all of that was tossed aside for an extended soft-porn turn.

When a writer is clearly making shit up as he goes along, he’s making it up as he goes along. It may be good, it may be bad — but consistency and long-term plotting are not to be expected.

I'm not so sure they are simply making stuff up as they go along. I don't get the impression that they're creatively winging it and seeing where the story takes them . Instead I think it's about having them enough pages to fill the next print volume of the collected series with the result that plot threads and characters who might advance the story have been put aside in favour of filler material like Teddy pointlessly changing sex.

Not that it really matters in practice because the outcome is essentially the same but I live in hope that if I'm right we might actually get back to the original story line and themes of the series as we get nearer to the middle and end of book 3.

"In her current state, Chloe would ignore you that a finicky cat." - 2nd panel, Pandora.

This is a grammatical mess. I can't even figure out what Pandora's intending to say here.
You can relax. Somebody, sometime, corrected it to read as it was intended- "Ignore you *like* a finicky cat."

I really miss Chloe, Naomi, Prudence and hell, even Lucretia. This arc's been going on for far too long, yeesh.
I miss Callie.
Don't think we ever saw her over at Slipshine either, now that I think about it...

She is indeed a wonderful artist who could doubtless turn her hand to anything, but from what I've seen, I don't get the feeling that she's very interested in depicting some of those bits in all their wrinkly Lovecraftian glory.

Me too

And disappointed by the fact we may never see her again the way it sounds
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Callie was a cute character who could have had a lot of story to unpack... but alas, it was not to be.

And I do feel that Naomi and Prudence have enough chemistry (not sexual) to pull off a series. As long as you kept it light and fluffy without delving into the authors' penchant for "sexy times," you could pull off a decent run with it. It doesn't hurt that the two actually have good will directed toward them (that hasn't been squandered) and have just enough connections to other characters to fill out a cast.

As for THIS webcomic, well, my signature kind of says my stance on it as a whole (P.S. Pandora ruined a lot of the comic for me).
Pretty much here for the ****posting.

"Teddy becoming Teddi was a fresh idea and him embracing his feminine side was too."

Not exactly that fresh. Ace and Kade in Eerie Cuties both had quite long runs as girls and neither seemed too put out by the experience.

What might have been fresh for the Pixie Trix universes would be turning a woman into a man. But for some reason the creators don't seem to like that idea and whenever anybody (eg Nina in EC) has gone down that path it's only been for a short period.
Each of those characters handled it differently. Ace fought it and isn't likely to be happy when he finds out what happens to him on full moons now. Kade was as hot to trot as a female so there really wasn't much of a change. Teddy embraced it to the point that it's debatable whether he's still the same person. I would also include Rain even though his transformation wasn't complete and only did it because of his attraction to Skye.

I will, however, agree that I'd like to see a male to female transformation and Nina's brief change wasn't enough, but I don't know who in this comic could. Chloe becoming an incubus might solve her problems since I'm not sure if incubi have to kill whoever they lose their virginity to. Abby as an annoying kid brother wouldn't really be all that different. It could be interesting if it happened to Naomi, but I don't know how she'd convince her parents. And that goes for every other human female in this strip except Gabrielle becoming Gabriel could be explained as one exchange student replaced by another.

There used to be some pretty nifty stuff drawn by the official artists on Slipshine, though as I can't find it again it might have been removed again.

Pretty sure that was just Ma3, though, since most of the cast of the *C comics are underage...

(At least, what's still there is all Ma3. Callie, or any other AA student, certainly wouldn't have featured at any rate.)

What about Tandy? I'd imagine her parents are "read in."
