This seems very uncharacteristically analytical for DiDi -- especially as we readers have not actually seen much evidence of Roxie being that cut up about losing Brandy. They seem to have become bickering friends with a little bit of sexual tension. There may be more involved, but how did DiDi of all people detect it? And if this is just DiDi being loopily romantic, why did she attach her fantasies to Roxie? Or did Roxie tell DiDi a load of stuff off-screen?

I get the feeling that DiDi's speech here is mostly in service to the last-panel joke and kicking Zii out of her pensive moment. But it seems like a weird breach of character, after eight years of DiDi being incapable of rational analysis.

Ah, Zii seemed to have a moment of clarity, but - of course - is slave to her desires in the end. While the audience can understand, or at least know the reference point, of DiDi's "romantic" non sequitur, it would sound like utter nonsense to Zii, yet she is still down to business? Back stepping a bit, one would think -in the moment of clarity - Zii might have remembered she just completely broke her promise to Sonya?
Putting aside anyone's prior manipulations and possible exploitation, Zii is doing the thing that she vowed not to do... Though, I guess her promises have meant nothing in the past, so now might see if Sonya finally realises how implausible a relationship with Zii actually is... Or maybe realise nothing and go find someone (Yuki, Gary, Matt) to rebound screw. Or some combination thereof.

Is Didi about to practice a few sexually explicit wrestling moves against Zii? :))

Ok, so Didi thinks she has seen someone denied true love, but what does that have to do with Zii's question on why Didi thinks she is in love with or could be in love with her? I don't see any connection or reason to bring it up.

Zii has never really had an emotional connection with Didi, just a lusting for her. She might actually be reaching a point in her life where she really feels she needs more than just good sex for a relationship and I'm pretty sure she's about to realize she isn't going to get that from Didi.

OR, we'll drag out her coming to this realization for a few months as they become a terrible couple that causes me pain to read about.

Interesting points:

1. Zii's moment of clarity.
2. Didi's analysis about Roxie and Brandy, which Zii doesn't get because:
3. Zii doesn't understand wrestling language.

DiDi believes she has seen the consequences of a life without true love, and it's not happy. Therefore, she is willing to seek true love for herself with someone who appears to at least offer the possibility of such thing.

It's kind of skimpy, but hey, DiDi logic.

Both of them are being more introspective than they usually are. Zii should be thinking about what she just did in Sonya's house, breaking her promise. I get that Zii might be thinking about the consequences of her actions, but thinking more about the long term with Didi when the house is going to go up in flames is just odd. Zii's not even thinking about Sonya's return; she's thinking about more Didi sex training!

Didi's leap also seems to have come out of left field. It would have been nice to see Didi's lamenting over Brandy & Roxie more. Yes, they did seem to have a nice relationship but their career is getting in the way. I think Erik and Zii were a better match, though, and Didi didn't give that coupling the time of day. I suppose she's only thinking about it because it (lack of love) is impacting her. Didi logic indeed.

Okay, while the joke that Zii is confused about wrestling terms is cliche, I stil found it funny.

To be fair to DiDi, "I would like to explore the possibility of a serious relationship, because I have recently seen what a life without serious relationships is like, and it is sad" isn't entirely stupid or crazy.

The thing that stops this working for me is that Roxie doesn't seem especially sad, and her current relationship with Brandy looks like a functional, flirty, bantering friendship, which might well re-ignite again into something more serious in the future.

You know, if this does end up working well, would Zii go back to the apartment? I mean, if that was the case, why have Peggy move in for so little time? Would she simply move into DiDi's room? Will the comic be retitled into Menage a 4? So... many... questions!!!

Will this necessitate a trip to the emergency room?
