Oh, I was seventeen once, long ago - however, I grew up in a time where teens weren't encouraged to sexualize themselves by dressing like hookers. There were some girls wearing shorts skirts/shorts/tops that showed their cleavage, sure - which could be seen as controversial to some (at the time), but nowhere near to this shameless degree depicted in the illustrations.
Maybe I'm just an old fuddy duddy who sees no reasonable excuse to sexualize teenagers.

Dakota was kind of forced to be rid of that charade after Melissa crushed the stone she used to put up the illusion; so, it's hardly by choice.
The only thing within that family that can be considered outside of the family norm is the fact that fighting/trying to kill each other is considered normal family squabbles in a house of witches/magic girls.
