I suspect Christophe is the all-athlete. He's the guy who carries every sports team, soccer, wrestling, track & field, etc. to all their victories, so he's not really built around any one sport - he excels at everything.vancofan wrote:Christophe doesn't look like he has the build of an association football player. I would think that association football (soccer) would emphasize legs like ice hockey, and a mix of endurance and peak performance (as opposed to professional ice hockey skaters who play the game one 30 - 60 second shift at a time) unlike the stereotypical Greek God physique. That extra top weight seems like it'd be hell on his ankles.
We had a guy like that at our school, large body, short limbs - didn't run that fast, but good luck stopping him. Owned the baseball, soccer and field (xxxathlon - HS equivalent of decathlon, but it wasn't 10 events) competitions. His base ball stats in senior year were sick, .567 batting 24 HR (in 20 games) 41 RBI - but at 5'10" he knew he'd never make the majors (6'0" min for catchers) so he blew off the baseball scholarship at Alabama for the soccer scholarship at Cornell where he'd get a degree that would wow interviewers. Cornell has a MUCH higher academic reputation than U of Alabama.
Okay - done self-reminiscing with the keyboard now.
