Yet another good episode today! For a little while it kinda looked like it was setting up for more cringe-worthy awkwardness, but I was quite pleased to see it deftly avoided. (now if only they could apply that writing style to Spike episodes...)

So far it looks like Season 5 is on track to become my favorite. I find a bit odd, though, that we've only had one Map episode since the premier (and no sign of Starlight Glimmer maybe), whereas in Season 4 they'd already found two keys by this point. But then, we've also had episodes with Twilight settling into her new role (and her new castle) so it's not as if the over-arching story has been untouched. While I'd like to see more Map stuff, as long as the individual episodes are good I'm happy.

Definitely more map stuff...this isn't Dragon Age Inquisition where those can be put off all the time...

New episode...so much win, so many call backs to previous episodes. And poor Luna, so much guilt that she sought to punish herself nightly for it. Someone needs to get her to a therapist. I do love what some of the mane six's dreams say about them, like Fluttershy wanting to be the pet. Of course, that's probably going to lead to a bunch of Fluttershy sub fics. Of course, Dash dreams of kicking ass and being awesome, wouldn't have expected anything less. Also it was great that Big Mac got the hang of 'this is a dream, you can do whatever you want' right away.

I finally caught up on MLP...I loved both of these two episodes. They keep dropping hints about Lyra and Bonbon don't they? I wish they could just flat out say it. Plus, for someone as shy as Moon Dancer already was and for her to have such a negative reaction and for it to mean as much to her for as long as it did...she must have had one huge crush on Twilight.
