Honestly, everything they did with Bon Bon/Lyra and Octavia/Vinyl was just perfect, and awesome, and awesomely perfect and perfectly awesome. And Derpy, poor, unlucky, tries so hard Derpy...really, they did everything they could get away with, and then snuck in everything they couldn't with some rather creative subtext.

So, new episode today:


Probably the most painful 22 minutes of my day. This type of humor has never appealed to me and it's disappointing that it happens in pretty much every Spike episode. It's like he's the only one on the show who's not allowed to remember the lessons he learns.

I have to agree.


Unfortunately, I don't think they know what to do with Spike. Basically, they've shown that he can't really mature or he becomes a horrible dragon, but if he doesn't mature, we get painful episodes like this one.

Loved today's episode! Even the bad audio synch on the upload I watched couldn't tarnish the awesomeness of Pinkie Pie!

Now, when are we gonna get Discord and Pinkie Pie to have a competition to see who can out-chaos the other?

Thank god for a Pinkie episode. Helps ease the pain of last week's Spike centric story. All humor aside though, one does have to ask...why would anyone want to be friends with the yaks? They're kind of enormous jerkasses who pitch unbelievably childish fits over the smallest things.

Also, good idea yaks, declare war on the country run by the individual who literally raises the sun. I'm sure that could only have gone well for them and not had any negative repercussions at all.
