That would be included among Layla's memories, which Lamia's busy stomping flat.vampire hunter D wrote:Now, anyone waiting to see some mental shrine to her dead friend Tiffany somewhere?

Let's not forget that nobody knows what actually happened to Tiffany et al. So I doubt that Layla has a mental shrine to her.

I doubt Nina is Layla's only sister; remember, Maria said she raised thirteen children.jaimehlers wrote: ...doesn't change the fact that it was extremely abnormal of her to outright forget her only sister's name.
Also, is it wrong that the first thing I thought when reading this is that anyone underneath Lamia-zilla, provided they could avoid getting stomped, would be getting a rather... interesting show?

I said something similar in a previous thread. Not about a "shrine to her dead friend" of course, because even if Tiffany is missing a long time in the current EC timeline, Layla can't possibly know what happened to her.vampire hunter D wrote:Now, anyone waiting to see some mental shrine to her dead friend Tiffany somewhere?
What I said -and hope to see actually- would be a "mental representation" of Tiffany in Layla's mind (since she is a very important person for Layla, her best -and only actual- friend), that would probably assist Nina in "saving" Layla's personality from being stomped out by Lamia. I also theorized that such a representation could be an exaggerated version of Tiffany (200% more ditzy! and stuff), since it would be how Layla perceives her.

She's not. There are at least 4 more, three of which have been named.Sk'thloq wrote:I doubt Nina is Layla's only sister; remember, Maria said she raised thirteen children.jaimehlers wrote: ...doesn't change the fact that it was extremely abnormal of her to outright forget her only sister's name.
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Nina is the only one we've seen Layla with, she's certainly the one Layla was raised with.Sk'thloq wrote:I doubt Nina is Layla's only sister; remember, Maria said she raised thirteen children.jaimehlers wrote: ...doesn't change the fact that it was extremely abnormal of her to outright forget her only sister's name.

Layla and Nina are the youngest of the Thirteen children. Remember, their parents are very old, so they've had a long life and some of their siblings are probably centuries old.

The point was that Layla's mouth(?) was writing a cheque she couldn't cash with the "I will not bow...to Faith". And the fact that she hasn't even TRIED to cash it suggests she knows she was completely outclassed.Gotoh wrote:Seek revenge how exactly?Zippy wrote:(And this is leaving aside that she DID, figuratively speaking, kneel to Faith, and the fact that she never e'en made any attempt to wreak revenge on her was effectively an admission that Faith could take her any time - the only actual aftermath of those events we saw was her hiding in her room in MC, EC time-skipped past any aftermath...)
Layla doesn't have any combat experience and she isn't interested in that sort of thing. Also, considering who she was facing at the time, I'd consider that to be an acceptable loss. Just as Faith being psychically b*tchsmacked by Hecate, was also an acceptable loss. In both scenario's, neither one had any chance of winning.
Simply put: there's always a bigger fish... but Layla's too proud to ever admit it.
Not necessarily true - that four month EC timeskip (when MC has moved forward at most one month) means Tiffany might be fine, dandy and running around Thornhill rooftops again by "now", EC time.jaimehlers wrote:Let's not forget that nobody knows what actually happened to Tiffany et al.

I acknowledge the correction. However, Nina is probably Layla's only younger sister (plus, she is likely the only one close enough in age to her to have the "siblings growing up together" dynamic with her), so my statement is still relevant.Sk'thloq wrote:I doubt Nina is Layla's only sister; remember, Maria said she raised thirteen children.

I'm glad that we now have definitive proof that the current Unholy Queen persona is NOT "just Layla evolving", but a case of possession suppressing and damaging the true personality.
I will be even happier to see the Unholy Queen evicted and sent down to the Abyss, where she belongs and should have been languishing instead of losering around the Delacroix genepool. =_=

I dunno. I did like Laymia at first. She wae basically just more mature and outgoin Layla. But the more she becomes Lamia the less fun she is. I say instead of evictining Lamia, they need to build up Layla to match her.
