But they only need to avoid actually killing or maiming each other, or physically assaulting other people on stage. Beyond that, it may well be that it's the internal tensions that give the band their energy. If they're already high on adrenalin before they even arrive on stage, they'll hit the ground running. Meanwhile, Kiley may have got Yuki's psychosis adequately under control.

They'll probably burn out in five or ten years, when the tours get long enough that the situation on the tour bus becomes downright murderous, but hey, the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, you know?

And Angel may just have handed them the key to lasting that long on a silver platter. Yuki and Sonya don't have to like each other; they just have to like the band more than they hate each other. In fact, Angel is looking like an increasingly sad case; all that talent and sharp wit wasted on pointless obsessions and soul-destroying rivalries. And if Dillon wants to find a fault in Jerzy, well, how about Jerzy enabling Angel's stupidity when a real friend would be yelling "snap out of it, you dork"?

Hmm - any chance that Ruby will collide with Angel in the near future and pick up on any of this?

Jerzy is in construction, Angel seems to be dedicated to rock music. It may take an effort of will for them not to yell in conversation.

Meanwhile, looking at this from the SDB plot point of view; Jerzy really wants Angel to cheer up, and will be focussed on that for a little while yet, I'm sure. But Dillon is still spying on Jerzy, jealously. How much will he be able to restrain himself before he interrupts in some stupid way? And how will Ruby react to that?

Given the age difference, even if Zii tried to be nice to Amber's kid sister, they wouldn't have had much to talk about - so if little Ruby kept out of Amber's room when Amber had friends around to do big girl stuff, Zii would probably barely have registered with little Ruby as more than a blur, and little Ruby would have looked like just a little kid (and probably a geeky, notably uncool kid) to Zii.

None of which says they couldn't have spoken often enough to register names and faces. But if they didn't, I won't be calling BS.

Plus, there's the possibility that if Zii has ever been introduced to Ruby, it was as Suzi. The flashbacks show that she went by Zii even as a teen, but it might have been a nick reserved to friends.

Ruby didn't react to the name "Zii" when she checked the club's 'Web site to see who was playing. But that's a lower level of detail than I'd treat as serious evidence.
