Liefeld? =))

Drawing as such was and is pretty good.
The weak side IMHO is same as the main problem with B&W comics in general: limited details, which impacts the "feel" of setting/immersion. Understandably. since blackness tends to melt into one inkstain as opposed to colored spaces that need to be both shaded and filled with something because they can be too ugly if left flat.
So, right now background details in PMS fall short of *C or e.g. El Goonish Shive, but not too bad and even better than the earlier version - at least, white spaces are shaded whenever they otherwise could give a cardboard look.
And even I make no pretense Of having more than common sense -R.W.Wood
It's not good, Eric. It's a gazebo. -Ed Whitchurch
We also crave the need to speculate... -Ed Greenwood

I actually wish there were more tones in this book. I love the toner though, don't get me wrong. I really miss drawing more backgrounds. Just take a look at my Marvel submissions on my DevArt page and you'll see what I mean. I'm certainly no stranger to BGs but with manga and this book in particular there's a ton of dialogue and wood balloons that I know will fill up much of the space around the characters so I tend to not waste my time drawing things that will be covered up. Also, "manga" is lettered differently from American comics in regards to the size and placement of wood balloons. In western comics you can put in a lot more art without fear of it being covered up. That's the main reason but I try to put in as many as possible and at enough to set the scene. I hope everyone understands this and if nothing else than blame Adam fro the extreme amount of text hahaha

And the comic is ass-backwards, which is always fun.

Just get Liefield to draw the feet and the pouches.

Oh so many pouches....

This may be more of a web/technical question than a story one, but it arose because of story decisions. What happened to the PMS archive? PMS appears to have been so completely and inseperably integrated into VC that my old PMS bookmarks are now 404 and PMS's home page now redirects to VC (and VC's archive). I wanted to go back and refresh my memory of what the PMS crew were doing before they ended up in Bakertown, and now I cannot. ~X(

EDIT: Nevermind, finally caught on to the reorganized archive. But its going to be a pain in the a$$ to relocate where I was in the pre-merger storyline.

It also seems like the epynomous Cheerleaders themselves are getting no face time whatsoever in their own strip, and moreover that PMS's arrival isn't just a temporary crossover, but a permanent occupation. /:)

Okay, with the basic issue that caused me to register for this forum dealt with, I'll have to think of something else to say.

It was supposed to be the Cheerleaders who were to get integrated into PMS, but that series proved so popular that it wound up being the other way around, but the Squad is still stealing the spotlight because, let's face it, the Cheerleaders, at least as the unit they are, pretty much only had the two stories in them.

Thankfully, it's only 2 story arcs of 95-100 pages each. It shouldn't be that hard to jump back into to catch up:

This is one of those questions that might have to go unaswered for future spoiler issues, but I thought I'd ask. Given that the VC works share a universe with EC/MC/DC, is PETM aware of Charybdis Heights High School, or even of the 'natural born monsters' that attend?

Charybdis Heights is largely off the grid, and Stephanie/Katie/Charlotte haven't even let J.C. Summerfield know where it is. Plus... PETM doesn't have jurisdiction there anyway.

I thought that might be the case... and from what I've gathered about PETM, I don't think they would care about 'jurisdiction', but would be at least trying to infiltrate if they knew.... Thanks for the answer.

In the 2nd Paranormal Mystery Squad story, a giant antediluvian horror destroyed a good chunk of the Las Vegas strip.

So basically if the PMS said that Lori and her group were vampires to explain the current events in the arc there is the distinct possibility that some of the students would believe them then based on that answer correct?
