Harsh. And also... <_<; ... She couldn't become a Queen, Heinie. You're a Duke. Jonah will one day inherit the title of Duke, not King. At most, Ms. Snooty could become a Duchess -- unless you are now betraying a plan to expand your holdings and/or upgrade your title.

I assume he was being figurative... and of course, overly dramatic... ;)
"Don't call me a dirty old man.... Cuz I'm not old... I'm of a fine vintage..."
"Get your mind out the gutter... you're crowding me."

Interesting to note that he's become just as kennel-proud as his father and brother were... when originally, he despised Bruckenstein like unto a cage.

Well, going from the 'extra' son to ruler might have an effect on folks.

True that.
I wonder how long it took him to make the transition from "I want to get out of here and away from the jerks who've been telling me what to do and outdoing me all my life" to "It's mine? Wait, it's all mine? It's mine, it's mine! BWAAAA HA HA HA HA HAAAA! "

Re: AAL - Wedding bell blues
oh and as for why he's like this.
Sure having leadership thrust unto him and the other experiences must have changed him (and experiences since then). But he will also make sure to put EXTRA effort to be that way, since he's actually or atleast used to be, the fellow who didnt bother. Gotta scream loud for the lie to be true.

It looks like Liz has never been told to sit down and shut up. I'm guessing that she is spoiled by her parents, who have hellish work commitments, so they're not even around most of the time.
Nonetheless, she's actually my favorite out of all the civilian characters.* She's always putting herself up front, trying to hog the spotlight while spouting empty threats about "social death" and the like. Plus, stuff happens to her a lot more than it does the other civilians.
There should be more Liz scenes in Book 8.
* As for non-civilians, my favorite is Jennifer, since her father's influence on her remains strong even after she disavowed him.

My actual name is Rawle Nyanzi.
