While I don't think Kade is the best match for Layla (to quote Ace, he's a jerk), I do like that she has real feelings for him. In fact, he's one of the people for whom she lets down some of her constant defenses. I'm not saying that's a good reason to keep at him, I'm saying she should keep looking for someone who makes her feel that way. So far, Dio doesn't fit that criteria.

Also, on an earlier statement regarding Nina being the reincarnation of that Vampire Queen mentioned early on, I think it's rather likely, especially given Blair's nervousness (and willingness to stake her) at the end of Sisterly Love.

You realize that the only person who Layla really lets down her emotional guard around is Tiffany?

I don't know what Chloe thinks she's doing. Yes I realize that her objective is to take Dio for herself, but it doesn't seem very likely that this is going to go her way. Adora, Brooke Ace and Nina aside

Kade is Layla's boyfriend, but Dio is her fiance'.

Even if she still has feelings for Kade, which she does, who is she obligated to marry here?
I don't know what Chloe thinks this is going to accomplish. Is putting Kade in between Layla and Dio going to change the eventual outcome, the outcome being Layla and Dio's marriage....

....probably not.

Kade and Tiff, yes, I'd forgotten Tiff. Surprising considering she's one one of the only reasons I'm still reading Magick Chicks. But it is interesting how few people Layla lets in. I mean, has anyone else noticed that besides these two, she doesn't hang out with anyone but Nina and her friends?

And she only tolerates Nina as a sister. Not a friend.

As for Kade. Have to wonder how much of his/her behavior is upbringing/ personality, and how much is biological.

The word "fidelity" does NOT exist in a domesticated cat's vocabulary of either gender.

Layla's vampire strength prevented Kade getting a crash landing. :-)

"Waiowowww!" doesn't sound like protest. More like muffled expectations of awesomeness towards Chloe.

Layla probably just upset Kade a whole bunch there :(

To me, it looked like a 'Wait' that turned into 'Owww~!' as the soul-drain was started up.

Kade as a girl was amusing, but always seemed pretty unsustainable - his arc as a girl was all about having been turned into a girl: winning Layla back, chasing after Mel, chasing after boys, being babysat by Brooke, etc. All this would have gotten old fast.

Ace as a girl was another story, though. It might be her inclusion in the swimsuit series still staring us in the face, but I got the feeling she was becoming a character in her own right before suddenly turning back, and I kind of miss her. There's nothing to be done, though; a big part of what made her who she was were the specific circumstances of the change... her increasing resignation in the face of the apparent permanence, and sheer randomness, of it all... her adaptation in light of that resignation... those things can't really be regained now. Sigh. If nothing else, though, I do wish it had lasted to the full moon...

His wolf form now could be pretty bad ass since he got the 1up after changing back.

He might look more like Wolf-King then his dad, who looks like Wolf-accountant.

Ace's ears popping up marks the first time we've seen any sign of his werewolfism (or lycanthropy) since he was reboyed.

I like his dad, too. Nice change of pace from either the rip-your-throat-out or Jacob Black varieties of werewolf.
