Indeed, we all have, because it never did so.

Check out panel 3. It shrunk into a marble. And Twiglet has it.

That certainly does look like it had shrunk, rather than having broken.
But...

Or it may have exploded into fragments and she's holding one. The way it cracked on the previous page certainly implies that it is not whole any more.

and "CRRRACKK" isn't the sort of sound effect usually associated with shrinking.

So, as for my original point (using "drop back five yards and punt"): If the orb can be used now to fix things up, we need one thing we don't have yet: A reason why it could not have been used at any time before this to have fixed everything up.
