Even on TV, it's an old concept that has run its course. I get fed up with traditional television way too quickly because of these type of old-school shenanigans. Can't a TV couple just fall in love and get physical like, say, people in real life? What's wrong with a television couple having a perfectly normal relationship? Are television producers so insecure over their own lives that they feel they must transform every TV relationship into either a joke or a catastrophe?
